Format: Audio CD
As yer reviewer from Bristol says, this album has darkness b-lining through its reggea-dub-veins, swirling in atmosphere like dry ice building round your stoned feet. (It is NOT a 'nice' album, as states "A Customer" [great name, mate: step out of the shadows if you are going to criticise, and learn to spell definitely correctly, too, while you are at it, please]. This is a skanky, skankin', duplate stylin' album. Nice albums are W*stl*fe or whatever. Get a grip, mate). From the opening incantation of Farda P MC ("Put da needle 'pon da record!") through the slow and building grooves of Kid Loops and Grizzly, past deep-veined dub of Prince Far I and the Arabs and Cee-Mix meandering to the closing nigh-urgent sounds of Lida Husik and More Rockers, it twists and turns, taking you up and down and underground. An epic journey, up there in the K7 DJKicks series with Smith & Mighty (if you like Rockers Hi-Fi you'll love Smith & Mighty and you MUST MUST MUST catch the latter Bristol duo djing live, too). As Farda P MC says, "Massive respeck t'each and every one". Mellow vibe scene!!

This has been my favourite album now for many years. It's quite dark but in an atmospheric way. The music changes temp gradually but you hardly notice the switches. The production is excellent, they've enhanced a few tracks out of recognition and put their stamp on the whole cd. It literally oozes rocker's hifi and the bit of mc-ing (chanting??) over it
quite simpy adds a cherry on the top.
It's not everyones taste sure, but, if you like the future dub and dubtech around these days like burial/deadbeat/pinch etc you can see Rocker's hifi were really light years ahead of their time.... and if you like them, you'll like this too.
or your money back.

Now this is a mix! Dub,Breaks, Jungle and snippets of added Rockers Hi Fi Dread samples and assorted found sounds make this an excellent smoky room late night soundtrack, wicked stuff

This is a nice album, I found the toasting/ talking quite boring and added little to the music. This music is deep- borrowing heavily from jamaican style dub, however with little innovation. If you like newer style dub and can put up with the chanting over the music you might get quite into this album.

This is the sort of album that plays to the mood of the suroundings, pumping enough for the start smooth enough for the end, a blessing when driving, mary jane simply blooms when played
