dei "giochi" di Sam Loyd è deliziosa. Spedizione veloce, tutto ok
Loyd's Cyclopedia has been put into the public domain so you can now download all 384 large pages and print it yourself, but this would likely cost more than the Pinnacle edition anyway and you'd have no binding either. So if you see this review, and a copy is available, just buy it if it's at all affordable. You get an unforgettable tour of Loyd's massive talent with wonderful illustrations that will last you for literally decades.
The book is big, 5000 is some number (!!!), the puzzles are classics, they are creatively crafted and presented, and the illustrations do have that lovely vintage style. In 5000 puzzles you have all the variety and difficulty range that you can imagine and expect, the style remains unique and very (falsely?) entertaining, and I didn't count the puzzles that kept me thinking for days.
If you're still not convinced, well for the price buy it anyway because even if for some odd reason you are not happy with your acquisition, your bookcase will be, for sure !
This book has so much value (even if it's "only" historical) that I will end up making a hardcover for it, I know it.
That means also that its actual paperback cover doesn't make it justice
