Product Description

Review

It was from the Guardian bike blog that I learnt you could solve your D-lock storage issues by just shoving it down the back of your trousers ...That's the thing about cycle lore: you read it, and you just want to join in. You can't help yourself (Zoe Williams)

Book Description

The very best of the Guardian's popular bike blog

Format: Paperback
However, it is very London-centric. If you are looking for a general book about the wide range of issues, tips, experiences etc. on cycling, this is not it. It is essentially London cycle commuters moaning about car drivers, van drivers, taxi drivers, pedestrians, the police, the government, local government, cycle thieves, parking facilities, sexist men, inadequate cycle lanes, dodgy towpaths, and other cyclists. If you are looking for inspiration to start cycling, don't read this - you'll be straight back into your car especially if you live in London. Nevertheless, some quite interesting stuff. As the curate said about the egg, it's good in parts.

Format: Paperback
Not the most succinct editorial line rather a collection of some vaguely informative and entertaining articles from the Guardian blog. But the Bella Bathurst book instead - that is worth the money

Format: Paperback
A recycled collection of articles and blogs which is an insult to readers. I'm not sure if the authors have ever been outside London, but they may want to think about being more inclusive for a wider audience

I gave this to my son and son-in-law for Christmas. They both loved it - for different reasons. Both are cyclists, one of them in the lejog league, the other more of the armchair/ten miles on a Sunday variety, but it seemed to appeal on all levels.
