If you have purchased and played Cyberpunk 2077, then you will know how massive the game is. Like some hybrid ginger child of GTA V and The Division. It's bugged n glitchy as hell, but we love it.

This is the Piggyback Cyberpunk 2077 : The Complete Official Guide, coming in at 464 pages and measuring 21 x 1.7 x 28cm it is one big boy...if you play the game, you will know what I mean ha.

The book covers the history of Night City, and each storyline no matter which of the three options you take. It is full of illustrations, screen grabs and mini-maps. Each main job, side mission and every easter egg is included.
It offers a detailed walk through of each one, with flow charts of each possibility and the outcome.
And if you are concerned about spoilers, there are warnings! But you bought a walk through guide, you don't care! Ha.

Another added bonus is that included with each purchase is a code to unlock a detailed online map, that is interactive and has a tracker so you can log your progression.

I thoroughly recommend this guide, especially if you want to get the most out of this game.

For a game that is so huge, this book has helped big time.
There are chapters for guides on all main and side jobs, all weapons in great detail, eastereggs, fantastic maps for small and large areas to cover throughout Night City, different pathways to take for alternate endings and lots more.
You really wouldn't think they could cover everything within a book for the amount of detail on Cyberpunk 2077 but they've done it for a good price.
Lots and lots of information and very clear screenshots on every page to help on the way. Alerts you of any spoilers within chapters!!!
I bought the paper back version and love it.
A must have for anyone who is looking to 100% this beautiful game.

Piggyback does it again - for nearly 20 years I've been collecting almost exclusively Piggyback guides - they aren't just game guides; they are collectors items, artbooks and lore guides as well. This excellent guide to Cyberpunk 2077 is yet another testimony to their skills and art.

Firstly, the book is massive, heavy with a glistening hardcover. As per standard for Piggyback, the binding and paper quality is excellent. Book includes an overview of Night City (including essential background information, lingo, history of the game world, gangs and key events) that really help flesh out some of the events that happen in-game. From there, its a primer on the game controls, a completion roadmap and then an extensive roadmap through the main and side jobs.

Expect detailed maps, decision trees and so forth. The guide is broadly simple to follow and is a useful reference kit (as per most modern games, where you need to go is usually clearly defined). There is then another 100 or so pages covering the various side gigs, events and hustles. A detailed atlas and overview of items followed by some detailed character building guides.

The collectors edition then caps off with an impressive Extras area including detailed behind the scenes information and some lavish imagery.

Look, this guide does it all and is in incredible detail - it also includes a digital interactive map (using a code included with the book) which is great! Want to know your romance options, how to difuse a situation, guide to the endings? You'll get it here.

Comprehensive, yet still falls short

The writers and publishers have done such a thorough job on this book that it almost feels churlish to complain, but...
It's pretty comprehensive until you need to work out how to beat a tough mission - then you realise that the Jobs section basically just repeats the requirements as listed in-game. ie: it doesn't tell you that there are fewer guards to eg the South, or where going up a level (vertically) might help.
The listing also suggests this book will cover the back story, but it's pretty slim and the 'World of' book kicks its arse in this respect.
Perhaps the biggest oversight is that anyone looking for a PC guide should be aware that this book is 100% aimed at console/controller players. That's fine, but you should know that going in - every button reference is for PS/XB.
This book is written surprisingly formally, it's thorough and it's by no means bad, but I've found I need to supplement the info both in terms of walkthroughs and backstory.

Missing/incorrect information

A lot of the information in this book is useful, especially if you want to complete every hard-to-find side mission and hidden gem in a map that's too big to fully explore by yourself, but many of the pages I find myself referring to regularly are full of bad information or straight-up lies.

For example, the section on vehicles tells you about a car you get as a mission reward, except you don't get it. I don't know if it was removed from the game or what but obviously the writers of this book weren't informed. Another section, on cyberware, just has completely incorrect stats for half the items, and doesn't even tell you where to get them.

The mission walkthroughs usually just repeat the in-game mission objectives ('go here,' 'eliminate enemies,' etc) without providing much insight into possible branching conclusions. Other reviews explain this issue in more detail.

Most of the times I refer to this guide I find myself forced to go to the internet instead because the book doesn't provide me with the information I need (which is always pointless because no online guides exist yet).

Overall, if you want something to point out all the hidde content in the game, this guide is great, but it is far from comprehensive as guides go.

Game arrived about lunchtime on day of release (Thursday) but book doesn't arrive until Sunday even though Amazon were still selling the book to new customers on Thur/Fri for delivery on Sat. Really poor considering I have prime. For info the game i decided to preorder from another shop. So glad I did will never preorder from Amazon again
