It is another good book in the series. I am determined to read all the books in this series. This one follows Tristen and Alden as they try to set up a home in Hawaii. I find the relationship between Ness and Sebastian interesting. Maybe loosely inspired by Elliot and ET. Lot's of humour and graphic scenes of sex and violence.

The Breakers series started me off and I ended up reading about 10 of Mr Robertson's books in a row. maybe more.
The whole concept was a refreshing take on the apocalypse and I really enjoyed the whole series. Rather than try to review each book individually now I'll say they were all good to great. I'm really glad I discovered the first book in an apocalypse 10 book compilation.

(if only Mr Robertson would use the word "of" after "couple" throughout his books I could remain immersed and not be jerked back mentally each time to consider the author's origins)

Great story from start to finish and even has a nod to events in other books.
In this one, the pace picks up more or less straight away (the previous book seemed to take a while to get going) and then just flies along.
There would have been the possibility to call it quits with this one, I think. There was a satisfactory resolution, with just enough openness not to feel too rounded-off (you don't always get neat endings). But, of course, the epilogue gives us a hint of more to come. But, I have to say, I'm not sure it's as powerful a tease as previous endings. I'm curious to see whether it does actually add to the series or simply drags it on.
But definitely worth reading up to this point anyway, and this episode is definitely one of the best.

Just finished it and loved it. I found myself accessing google maps and images to follow the adventure and was pleased at how accurately the locations were described. The characters are as excellent as ever and we can now see the series coming together.

Even though this novel is very much the same as previous instalments is it still a GREAT read. I love the author's writing style and the manner in which the separate threads are interwoven at the end is expertly handled

Absolutely enjoyable reading. All the characters are interesting and the story lines sometimes intertwine which is a clever ploy. Also just like game of thrones you don't know who is going to make it. Just gonna buy book six!

This to me was the best so far, concentrating on already established characters. If you are reading breakers then I would recommend it.
I'm still not convinced that the world would has gone quite so medieval, but it was important to the plotlines, and this goes someway to explaining why.

This book was a great read but no surprise there - I enjoyed the whole series. Same distopean story but told by Tristan and her brother Alden whom we met in book 3 Meltdown. They made it to Hawaii, had 5 quiet years and now the action begins again.
