This is a really informative book which has become something of a reference for me. Bought a new blend the other day and it turned out bitter. This manual explained the matter of "over extraction" and a tweak of my Rancilio resulted in a wonderful deeply flavoured and satisfying cup. The volume happens to be an interesting read and at times an inspiration to try different things. Most enjoyable.

Not a book to sit and read in a single sitting, but wonderfully packed with both interesting history and useful info. Reading this really has saved me going on an expensive Barista Training Course!

A bit too much about roasting beans and other stuff and not enough about making the perfect cup of coffee at home. Disappointed.
