But this nifty little gadget does the job beautifully. I've ground hard nuts like almonds and hazelnuts, and they come out to a beautiful ground texture. I've chopped vegetables like onions, carrots, and broccoli, with tasty results. I was worried that a tiny machine like this wouldn't cope with hard foods like carrots... but no worries there.
It's really cute and small so I can leave it out in my tiny kitchen without it taking up too much space... and therefore I have it handy and don't get lazy about my cooking. The silver is also a nice colour.
Edit: I contacted Conair who make this and explained the situation. They asked for the Amazon transaction details (dates) and the serial number. They then sent me a label to return it to them via a pick-up service (lots of those locally). Less than a week later I got an email stating it couldn't be repaired so they were sending me a replacement with a new 5 year guarantee. 2 days later it arrived. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I have found, occasionally, it is difficult to dismantle. I realised this is because I didn't fully dry the shaft so now I take extra care and put a little cooking oil on the spindle and the plastic outer shaft of the main pot. Now no trouble at all dismantling it for cleaning.
We absolutely love this tiny little machine and now use it for lots of other things such as breadcrumbs, cheese when called for grated cheese. Nuts if chopped ones called for.
Lasted just over six months and aftrer I had tyhrown it away, i read the review that there is a five year warranty and I could have had it replaced. Feel really sore about this. But armed with that knowledge, I'll buy a second one and hope it lasts longer than six months.
I needed something to make curries and pastes for my food, but since I tend not make big meals I felt a full sized machine would be a bit pointless. This mini processor takes a couple of onions, a thumb of ginger, a couple of chilli's a couple of cloves of garlic without any hassle. It has no problem blitzing through it all in a few seconds, and the fact that it rotates both ways by just pressing the buttons on the front it mixes quite quickly and easily.
It isn't going to change your world, but if you are looking for a little, stylish food processor then this will work fine.
ps. Make sure that the plastic arm on the bowl locks into the back of the base otherwise it simply wont work - took me a couple of minutes to figure that out :)
