This is a perfect deck for lovers of crystals and the Tarot.
My only issue is with the minor arcana;six of swords is a picture of six swords with the crystal, nine of cups is just nine cups with the crystal etc.I would have prefered the minor arcana to have been more detailed-like the rider waite deck which would make reading the cards easier for beginners.
However,I still recommend this pack,as its a lovely deck and great to help you work with crystals too.
As the Set suggests; it's based mostly around Crystals (rather more than I'd anticipated - I just thought the designs of the Cards may be themed around these) and so this Set will be nice for those who are more into that medium. I think people will be more intuitive perhaps about their Readings too if they have or use the crystals recommended that come up in the Spreads.
The product is very, very nice; a lovely sturdy storage box with slide off lid; BEAUTIFUL thick and glossy quality Cards, and a nice quality colourful substantial book - including suggestions for some different and lesser known Spreads. In fact; I found this one of the best things about this particular Deck; the unique Spreads. I found these extremely helpful - especially the `Hexagon Crystal Spread' which is super because should a Card come up that is not quite clear - or perhaps you feel does not `tally' in some way with the others, you are advised to draw three more Cards from the top of the remainder of the Deck and connect the four together. (the three - along with the one you don't quite understand and `link' them) I thought this was a brilliant idea because the problem arose with me very early on, and I really needed more information. Not many Spreads suggest/advise this and thus simply leave you perplexed and confused as a result, but here with these, one feels they have some added assistance.
Some Readers might find this Set a bit disappointing as the main Set of each Suit just features the number involved (i.e. 8, 6, 5 of whatever) there's very little Reading to be done by oneself... (unless exceptionally experienced that is) So, one will probably always have to refer to the book for the Cards meanings in this area which could of course be considered a `downside' for some... For this reason, though I knew I would be keeping them for my growing Collection, I did not think I would ever use them myself, but my opinion has changed drastically!
They are a bright and colourful Deck - resembling something more like that of a children's Card Game than of a Tarot Deck - but this does not detract from the gorgeous cheerful artwork, or to imply they are not to be taken seriously either - it's just their appearance. It may also be a good Deck for those easily upset by what they feel might be the `darker' side of Tarot.
For some reason occasionally I find that some Decks have a lovely aroma with them - and for some reason, these smell GORGEOUS!!
A BEAUTIFUL Set all round!!
The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the cards being too thin.
I would recommend them to anyone interested in crystals and how the cards relate to this.
Each card represents a different crystal and chakra, and I like the fact you can draw a card for the day and carry the crystal it suggests. The only down side is the cards are very thin, so be very carefull who you let shuffle your cards!!!
