The game play is very good, the Nano suit is awesome and if you play this game on anything other than normal you will be spending most of your time cloaked as this is not a game where you can really run and gun. The AI is smart and flanks you a lot. I usually play my shooters on hard difficulty, and Crysis 3 presents a challenge. The musical score is equally impressive and really gets you into the game. Big plus for the soundtrack on the disc too.
My one criticism of the game, however, is the length of the single player, its only 7 missions, although they themselves are long, Crysis 2 had about 15. it clocks in about 7-8 hours total, but to be fair I did feel the game was paced well.
I got Crysis 2 about 8 months after it was released, and there weren't many people online. Crysis 3 at the moment has a really active community and you can get into a game easily. I have to say, the multiplayer has so far been utterly brilliant, its just a lot of fun to play. The maps are well designed, good weapons and the nano suit makes it interesting. Plus you haven't got as many people hiding in a corner all game camping. Plus there's no online pass code which is a big plus.
It can be a bit laggy at times, you see the replay of when you are killed and you realise you are shooting at thin air, but not enough to ruin it.
All in Crysis 3 is a very good game, dosent quite top my favourite shooter this gen bulletstorm, but it is pretty epic. 9/10
i much prefer this Crysis. This game has it all , speed , great graphics , good story etc.
However where it really excels is the multiplayer , no lag , loads of game types , lots of collectables and upgrades.
Very very pleased we purchased this , i cant say that very often about spending £40.00 on a game recently.
Game of 2013 released as early as February. Superb.
New to the series, I was initially sceptical about the R2 invisible button or the L2 Tank armour option, but they really make for a great, fun game that's also super skilful, the best out there right now. The graphics are great, and one of the first things you'll notice is just how quick it is! It's simply great fun to be able to move so quickly and with such fluidity, being able to jump great heights just adds to the real sense of the 3D world you are immersed in. COD and others felt very flat, you're mostly just shooting straight ahead, and looking up feels unnatural, but with Crysis 3 you really are shooting in every direction, always on your toes.
Some have said the single player is a weak point, but I actually enjoyed it more than any other of the main campaigns of any modern shooter, although in truth it is very short. With COD and Battlefield I felt I just wanted to get the single player out of the way to play online, but with Crysis it was actually such good fun in places that I'm sure I'll go back and play it again. As in online mode, there are two different styles of play: stealth or tank, and the balance is just perfect. Feel like sneaking up for a silent kill or silently sniping, cool!Read more ›
