I use a couple of these to keep secure backups of my most important data files. This sees the drives swapped and written to many times a month to near capacity. My first Cruxer drive was purchased three years ago, and to date I have yet to encounter any problems with them using Windows 10. This is a far cry from previous years where I lost data due to probably buying cheaper flash drives.These things are very small in size and I have attached a photo with two of them against a £1. The top one shows the drive inside its protective sleeve, whereas the bottom one is open and ready to be put into a USB port.PROS• Small and lightweight• Size prevents it being easily knocked when plugged into a device• Keeps cool• Reliable• Compatible with any Windows operating system which has a USB port.• Can easily be reformatted.CONS• Size makes it easy to lose

I bought a new smart TV recently and one of the main plus points is that it has a built in recorder. As I'm a great lover of HD, I decided it was time to buy a bigger capacity drive to take care of all my needs.

I have bought SanDisk for a few years now, pertaining to the fact they are small, reasonably priced and nice to look at. My original 16GB was very fast by USB2.0 terms and I was thinking of upgrading to USB3.0, however to my dismay I realised that SanDisks products are still USB2.0. I decided that as I was using the device in my TV transfer speed was not my main concern. That said it is a little faster than the old device. For example 16GB 5-6MB/S and the new 32GB around 7-8MB/S.

That said, if speed is your thing, and you intend to use this for regular large file transfers, DO NOT buy this - you will be disappointed. Buy a USB3.0!

Quite often you see people complaining that the advertised size of the drive is no where near what the real life usability is. This is not an issue of the manufacturer, this is a computer thing namely a Microsoft issue. No drive you buy will give you exactly what you have paid for, this is a fact! If you are interested, this drive formatted has just shy of 30GB.

With regards to the frustration free packaging, this has been a bugbear of mine for many years especially with electrical items. I can report that a one handed blind person could open the package - it really is that simple! Great design if you ask me.

All in all a great device for a very measly sum. Of course, speed may be an issue for some people - but you only get what you pay for. I'm looking forward to next (64GB!) purchase.

****update 16/11/2015**** I got a new car which had mp3 ability available via USB. I bought another 16GB item, and decided to plump for the smaller 'Cruzer Fit' so it wasn't sticking out of the dash too much. I can't believe the size of this item - it is tiny! Although it is just as good as it's big cousin.

Small handy and useful sums this up very quickly and if your looking for a usb stick to go on your key ring and save your arse when you thought you had forgotten your vital presentation for work then this is for you. Its small , very small and that is what is so great about this usb stick its beyond portable and is just so useful in every day life. It has very solid build construction that is to be expected of a large company such as sandisk but the memory stick is not perfect there are a couple of things that bring it down. One why does it come with a loop hole for a string to attach it to your key ring or wherever and yet no such cord or ring comes with the memory stick. This is a very small gripe but when you say something is portable but is also very samll and easy to lose why not give the customer something so that they don't lose it. However cords for it made out of stainless steel and such are not expensive at all and are a definite recommended buy if you are buying this memory stick. Another gripe I have is with the lid , when you put the memory stick in the computer there is no place on the back of it to put a lid , again this is a minor annoyance but seriously its like you want me to lose that lid. This is a memory stick that does what it says on the tin , its small and useful don't expect blazing fast transfer speeds. If you want a memory stick for speed get a usb 3.0/3.1/3.1 type c memory stick.

Have you ever been out at a friends house, recorded 5 hours of secret footage of their bedroom via their laptop/PC's webcam, then realised the file size is so big that you cant email it to yourself, and you have no other means of transporting the file to your home because you forgot to bring your normal sized USB flash drive with you? No?? Me neither... However, the fact is... If you ever did want to do this, you could by keeping this little cheeky chappie in your wallet in case such a dilema is to arise!

This is the smallest USB Flash drive i have ever seen, and with 16GB storage, its ideal in my wallet for whenever i wish to take or pass on large files to a buddy(for example: photos from a lads weekend in my garden shed, or recordings of myself singing along to 80's classics such as WHAM - Bad Boys, Roxette - It Must Have Been Love, Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come on Eileen, and, of course, Blondie - Call Me)...

Enough about me though. This product is fantastic. Its always with me in my wallet, and i dont know its there until i need it... In fact, there has been a few times i completely forgot it was there and didnt get the opportunity to use it in a situation where it would have been handy.. but that is a fault of me, rather than the product.. It was there, waiting. Reliable product, and its never let me down.

SENSIBLE ADVICE: There is a teeny tiny hook on the end. This is not just for show. I have since threaded a little piece of thin, but strong, string through this, creating a little lanyard to aid with removing this little gem from various USB ports. Reason being; this item barely protrudes from the usb port, so it can be difficult to grip with your fingers to remove. I learned the hard way and spent ages on first attempt to remove it. Eventually i got a little mouse that i found hanging around a local door.. Think it was a door mouse. Anyway, i spent weeks nurturing and training it to use its little teeth to grip the end of the USB stick and pull back in a kind of wiggling motion to set my 16Gig of memory free from the PC it was attached to. Whilst this method works, it is not recommended, and takes both time and skill. Just stick the piece of string through it to save any bother.

DISCLAIMER: No animals were harmed. The door mouse is now happily married, with children, living in a huge countryside mansion, with all the doors it could wish for.

Great little device!! - Buy it!
