About the Author
Martin Shirran, a former PR and marketing director, met Marion on a hypnotherapy course when she was a disenchanted language teacher frustrated at dealing with disinterested and unmotivated youngsters. Intrigued by psychology since taking a course on sales and marketing, Martin undertook a REBT course at Birmingham University presented by renowned lecturer Professor Windy Dryden. Martin has also undertaken courses in NLP. The couple set up the Elite Clinics in Spain in 2004, and are certified and registered with the American Board and British Institutes of Hypnotherapy. Their GMB (Gastric Mind Band) weight loss therapy is now widely emulated; Martin says imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! They read psychology books widely, though Martin defines his theoretical knowledge as less significant than the life experiences of being married, divorced, burying close family members and travelling the world. Marion, who gained an Honours degree from Lancaster University, has a nurse, doctor and midwife in the family, but is ‘far too squeamish to do anything involving blood and guts.’ Working in therapy seemed perfect for her! Martin holds a UK private pilot’s licence and an RYA Offshore Yacht Master’s Licence. Marion’s main pastime is cooking Thai, Chinese and Indian food alongside contemporary classics… and of course creating sumptuous new smoothie recipes. Fiona Graham, formerly a UK journalist, has worked on the Shirrans’ books for a number of years.

Food served on board and end up coming home weighing a lot heavier .This book was a good read and full
Of useful information and tips to help resist the temptation of over eating and written in a down to earth way that people can relate to . I would definitely recommend this book as a good read before you go off on your travels.
