They fit well and are easy to attach. I've just bought a giant trance x3 with a custom shaped frame and the front guard comes with a pair of elasticated bands to wrap around any shape of frame which was a relief.
The rear guard can be adjusted when fitted but still stays at the angle you've put it at. Both guards trap 95-99% of mud from flying up in my face. I looked at my jumper after my ride yesterday which was very muddy and wer in places and there were only a few spatters across it. I am very satisfied with this product and fully recommend it to you without reservations. Don't waste your money on more expensive set ups.
Very reassuring to see that they are still making very practical products that are value for money.
Well made and cheaper than the generic copycat products out there!
Works well for commuter bikes as well as mountain bikes.
You do need to be careful about any wiring that travels down the underside of the frame with the front guard: It will pin the cables against the frame and if your bike has bare wires like many do, it will restrict their movement with predictable implications to your rear brakes and gears. With a sheathed cable, or a hydraulic line, it is less of an issue: my bike has a hydraulic line going to the rear brake running under the frame, and I just fitted the front guard over the line with no issues.
Overall, great product. You don't need a degree in engineering to fit them, and most important, they stop mud from getting on you when you ride your bike. Just check the cables on your bike first for any moving cables on the underside of the frame before you buy. If you have any, you will have problems with the front guard.
You are provided with two elasticated bands and 3 wedges of different thicknesses. The rear mudguard and holder is somewhat intuitive once you've worked out it fits on the seat stem and got it the right way around. The wedges become more obvious after fitting without them. They require a bit of crafting to fit but do the job. That is relatively simple, although 90% to do with working out on ones own and only 10% for the instructions.
The front part completely baffled me not least because I have no experience of fitting mudguards to mountain bikes. I was envisaging this fitting in front of the handlebars and over the front wheel. This is NOT the case. It actually fits on the underbelly of the frame, on the cross diagonal structure going from the pedals to the handle bar. THis does make sense as crud will likely end up on a trajectory from the upward part of the front wheel. The two bands appear to go around the frame and through holes in the mudguard and attach to hooks on the underside. I had to extend one end of the band to an additional hook to give some tension as the frame on my bike isn't as thick as on others. This was a little fiddly but ok.
I had to do some research to find all of this out.Read more ›

Excellent, Does exactly what you would expect from a set of mudguards. Seen several people mention the cables running under the frame for the front guard. Read morePublished 7 days ago by Nathan H.
I thought these Raceguards were for road bikes. They're not. They're very wide and not aerodynamic. Not suitable for road bikes.Published 1 month ago by Anon
Crud Twin Pack W/ CruDCatcher and Raceguard - Black
Very good set of mud guards. Fitted easily to my 29er and does a great job of keeping me dry and mud-free.
Good guards, that were easy for Mrs W to fit onto our bikes :-)
Great value on Amazon, as they can be twice the price in some bike stores.
Bought these again, only because my last set was stolen. Very easy to fit, just need an allen key for the seat post attachment, they look good on the bike, easy to adjust and do... Read morePublished 5 months ago by anne
Would be nicer if the seat post mount were slightly wider so I could use the rubber fixings but other than that pretty pleased with it.Published 5 months ago by Seaulone
Stop you getting covered in water and mud. Front guard looks excellent. Rear could be styled a bit better. Pretty easy to fit too.Published 6 months ago by Amazon Customer
