I want more. Along with the 1st book in this series ('Course of Empire') this is a great page turner as the Human / Jao alliance shakily begins it's first tentative steps to association. With battles - seemingly insane enemies and a race that links music to genocide - and with the complex politics of empire begining to surface there's plenty of mileage left to run (pleeease)

Another good read from Flint and Wentworth - but I had to pay for this one (the first in the series was free). I'll be looking to see if there's a third the offing.

Very much enjoyed this series and the other books I have found by the same authors, well imagined aliens and characters which are likeable and a story which holds your attention. I am an avid sci-fi reader and hope other fans of the genre will enjoy it as much. Light and entertaining reading.
