A double-bill of action films. In 'The Crow: City of Angels' (1996), the inhabitants of the City of Angels live within a gothic nightmare orchestrated by a despotic psychopath. Single father Ashe (Vincent Perez) loses his own life and that of his son under the murderous regime, but is allowed the chance of revenge when he is resurrected by a mysterious crow. He is guided on his path by a young psychic woman, Sarah (Mia Kirshner), who saw the crow's mighty powers in action once before when her friend Eric Draven was brought back from the dead. In 'The Crow: Salvation' (2000), falsely convicted for the murder of his girlfriend, Alex Corvis (Eric Mabius) has spent three years on death row insisting that he was innocent. The film opens with his graphically-depicted electrocution, performed on his 21st birthday. After his wrongful execution, Corvis comes back from the dead to hunt down the real killer, helped by his girlfriend's sister, Erin (Kirsten Dunst), and the mysterious guardian crow who resurrected him.

City of Angels and Salvation have received no restorative work and a basic transfer from the parent company so that they could be released on Blu-ray back around 2012. As such, it is buyers choice in selecting the release for you. This set includes the best available transfer of both films, Salvation being available only in Germany and the UK, City being available in same and additionally in the US and Japan. This collection has the distinction of including the identical single disc UK releases for both films at a lower price point. The discs in this two disc set, like the single releases, are Region B locked, so they require a Region B player or a Region Free player in order to view. Each film contains the special feature of one featurette. The sound is good, the picture is likely the best we will get and is pretty good but not up the standard of a true restoration. Overall, this was a very enjoyable double billing of the second and third in The Crow series and I was glad to have picked up my copy. If you love The Crow, you will probably enjoy the films and this release. If not, you should see the original, glorious, Brandon Lee performance in The Crow, prior to purchasing this film set.
Good luck finding the film that make you happy. These have always been great on a rainy night or Halloween and I was glad to have these last year on the stormiest night we had, where I live. Enjoy.
ok my fellow amazoners lets look at:
City Of Angels,
Ash and his son are killed by a ruthless gang... Enter crow to bring him back for vengeance, though the world is ravaged the baddies are a tad plastic. but the film is good. I think the Vincent perez's version of the crow is more crazy, it brings more to the whole crow mythology. unfortanatly not as strong as original but a good sequal if looked at seperatly or not compared to the original.
Ok Lets talk about
Eric Morbius does a good crow, framed for the murder of his girlfriend and yes you guessed it enter the crow to bring him back. I would say this one was the better of the sequals.
so in closing my dear amazonees if your a crow fan it is def worth getting, the blu ray transfer isnt the best I've seen but it is a good upgrade from the DVD version. (proably one of the best blu ray transfers in apocolypse now)
but please for the love of god totally ignore the crow Wicked prayer... That film was terrible, Edward Furlong as the crow it was terrible whatever next
The Crow: Implanted soul starring Wayne Rooney as Luke mann footballer whose football career was ruined by a referee and killed himself only for the crow to bring him back to life to take revenge on all the referees that have wronged him :)
wicked prayer is so bad it doesnt deserve to be called the crow. David Boreanaz was a terrible villian, it just sucked. normally if i love a film i will get all the sequals even if their not as good as the original but watchable. but nah way to me the crow: Wicked prayer is just another film.
the crow City of Angels/Salvation: good
The Crow Wicked Prayer: Load of rubbish
Salvation: Probobally the worse in the series, but it's not that bad, granted the acting is somewhat worse. 2 1/2/5
