Where else would you get Robert Randolph and Joe Bonamassa, or Eric Clapton and Sonny Landreth playing together, or Ronnie Wood and Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang together

OK - if you love great guitar music, you're in for a treat.

If you're lucky enough to have a great sound system to listen to a DVD through, you're going to be in Heaven.

This is so good, I even listened to Sheryl Crow without fast forwarding. I admit that Bert Jansch gave me an opportunity to make myself a coffee though. Can't have everything.

This DVD has given me the opportunity to hear Sonny Landreth. What an amazing player. Where have I been?

I bought this for Jeff Beck's performance, yet I was blown away before I even got to him!

This is one mind-blowing DVD - just the right mix of talk, back-stage shots and performance. Utterly captivating.

First the gloating - I was there. And this captures, as well as a DVD can, how good the day was. Given the fact that the music started at 11:50am and went on till 11:40pm, even a 2 disc version will be a compromise. But this is such a good stab at getting close to how good the day was that it doesn't matter. The only thing missing was the excruciating heat that took till about 7pm to abate.

There are too many highlights to mention, too many fine performances (I would love to have an extended version of the Buddy Guy set) and, as long as Jeff Beck's boots don't offend, there's nothing here not to like. And for charity too. Buy it.

The first festival was great as was most of the second (see later comments re Bill Murray) but this one well.... Some really good stuff but I do think the format is getting past its sell by date. Don't get me wrong Clapton is superb as usual & so is Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Jonny Lang & Sheryl Crow but it lacks the bite of the first festival & to a lesser extent the second one.

I have read that Clapton had decided that this one would be the last but is now reconsidering well if you do decide to have another festival Eric please give Bill Murray a job selling tickets or ices so we do not have to put up with his innate rambling introductions again whilst dressed as something from a circus & a bad one at that. These artists doing the festival are at the top of their tree & deserve better than to be introduced by a clown like this - thank you for the fast forward on the player. Also, what is it with the sub titles? The sound is perfectly clear so these are nothing more than an unnecessary distraction.

Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010 DVD is a great concert DVD. It's a 2 disc set with over 4 hours of excellent music. You have Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Ronnie Wood, ZZ Top and others. The performances by the artists are top notch and Bill Murray as the host makes this 4 hour concert a joy to watch. Only small problem is the camera work which sometimes is kinda dodgy but it's never distracting. Overall the sound and picture quality is great and the artist lineup is great and the overall experience is amazing. If you are a big fan of blues then you should get this one.

This typical of the series. The music is a mixture of rock blues country and a little jazz, and what you like is subjective - but most people should find things to enjoy. The common thread throughout is the excellence and variety of the guitar playing and musicianship generally. I rated this at 3 stars because of my personal tastes but there is some good stuff and the performers all seem to enjoy themselves.
