This is a story about how family is not always about blood but the people that you choose to be your family too. Mariya, The Bratva Princess is forced to marry a man that she does not want to but as it is what is insisted on by the family, and when they tells you what to do, you honour the family, especially when the head of this family is your grandfather. She makes her escape after things go wrong and then meets Fang. Fang is a deadly man who has had some unfortunate events happen in his life, some have make him strong but a more recent event has broken him. Until he meets Mariya, Fang feels like he has nothing to live for, but he finds himself intrigued with the Russian beauty. This is a story about a Russian Princess and man who has many talents and will do anything to help make things right for her. These two are super sexy together so you will have to read this epicness to see what happens for yourself.
I received an copy of Crooks and Kings from London Miller in exchange for an unbiased and honest review.

So we start of with Fang aka Christophe and his incredibly sad loss. My heart absolutely aches for him and then the downward spiral happened and I couldn’t help but feel even more for this poor guy.
Then we’re shown Mariya and a little of what she’s gone through being from the Russian Bratva and were let in on the fact that she’s running, running from something evil and it’s due to this running that Christophe and Mariya end up meeting, their meeting isn’t like any other and I enjoyed it so much.
Watching the two spend a little more time together and becoming friends was definitely fun. He makes her smile, she makes him smile and it’s beautiful. I won’t go into much more as I’m not going to spoil it for other newbie readers.
When were shown Christophe’s brothers I smiled. There’s not stronger bond than a bond of brothers that have gone through as much stuff as they have. They’re different in so many ways but also very alike. They stand together, always and that was so lovely to see.
Everything about this book was spot on. I didn’t want to stop reading as soon as I started. Each character intrigued me and yes, I absolutely need to read all of their stories too. This author is a new author to me and I’ll definitely be picking up more of her books in the future especially if they make me feel the way Crooks and Kings did.
Christophe Lupei was part of the wild bunch ran by the facilitator, unlike the kingmaker Chtistophe's handler had a slight human touch but that didn't mean he and his gang weren't part of the kingmakers plan, oh no it just meant this was the life he knew and he wouldn't traded it for anything especially with his gruesome child hood Christophe knew there were risks to the life he lead but one blow floored him, it made him feel things he wasn't strong enough for. To drown the silence Christophe ran, ran away from the hurt , pain and suffering but it never really did help, he could still replay the day that ripped him apart and made it hard to breathe over and over again until the booze even stopped working but then again he wasn't meant to feel or would he finally be able to move on.
“Tyrants don’t care whether you’re young or old— they only care which they can break.”
Mariya Kuznetsov wanted to be unknown just another nobody in a sea of strangers, her back story had reasons and her staying hidden was one of the reasons she didn't lead anyone on. As a waitress at Davie's tavern Mariya was slowly settling into her mundane life until that one customer caught her eye , his eyes spoke a thousand stories even though his face remind stoic. With the stranger drinking enough to a drown a wee village Mariya knew she should have stayed away because her demons would swallow anyone around her but when the alluring stranger turns out to be one of her neighbours she knew something was up, she watched him until his eyes were on her but how long before her demons and his past collided into something disastrous.
"He looked like the kind of trouble she didn’t need.”
In every plan there's always something that can go wrong even the cunning ones fall but this isn't a every day bunch of people this was the king makers army.
She was much more than a distraction and he was a addicting attraction. Few nights turned into something more even though the truth could end up ruining everything.
So I took me a whole chapter and half to get into this book cause honestly the beginning really didn't settle well with me cause of reasons. It kind of reminded me of red and I'm still not okay with it besides that LM just keeps on getting better with each installment. So the Den & Wild Bunch are part of the kingmaker series but unlike the den series we don't get a chapter at the end regarding the King maker cause this isn't "IT'S" crew though it does play a vital part in the whole game plan. One thing is for sure I love the names in the wild much series there's
Yes. That's how excited I am that I made gifs. Can't wait for more.
