As an avid reader of crime fiction, I have greatly enjoyed all the stories in this anthology. Every reader will have their favourite stories given the variety in this anthology but in my opinion there are three outstanding crime writers here - Don Nixon, Paula Readman and Mark Millar. Don Nixon has two excellent stories in this anthology and deservedly so. FOXTROT and A ROUTINE JOB are very different in character and location but both are tightly plotted and deftly characterised. They all create a disturbing world of increasing tension. All the authors in the anthology are talented writers and know how to grip the reader. One of the best collection of crime stories I have come across recently. Let's have more.

Just after reading this book for the second time and I have to say I still found it a very enjoyable read.I like the mix of authors, especially the local ( to me ) ones.Cathy Cole's story, A killer Week was very reminiscent of Colin Bateman's style, with local references and a chilling imminence as well. The way the story unfolds leaves you urgently wanting to turn to the next page to see how the story plays out.
All in all a thrilling story in a thrilling book.

Sharp, scary, dark, intriguing, captivating, amasing, just how you expect a crime story to be, and yet, unexpected, mind blowing, takes your breath away.

Crime crime and more crime, whilst I enjoyed the mix the book content became very Spanish and I lost interest in the last two stories
