Palau SAF (Short Adjustable Fin) are very special fins, designed for swimming and snorkelling, but above all for all those who practise water sports and that only need the fins in particular situations. For example for those who practise all kinds of surfing and windsurfing, rafting, canoeing etc. and also for those who practise their favourite sports offshore. Palau SAF has a very soft, short blade and a foot pocket that allows it to be put on in seconds, even when in the water. What is more, the foot pocket has been designed to accommodate at least 3-4 consecutive sizes and allow the fin to be worn over thin footwear. The strap has a strong ring on the upper part to allow reversal of the strap itself or to fix the fins to the body or the equipment. Palau SAF is available in 4 sizes that cover shoe sizes from 35 to 47.

Update: I gave them a second chance and used them yesterday....these fins are downright dangerous for serious snorkelling (and you wouldn't use them for diving anyway)...there is absolutely no drive from them...sometimes you need to kick on when snorkelling to get yourself out of danger or to swim against a tide..sorry Cressi, these fins are a liability. They're probably good for body boarding but if you are a seasoned snorkeller..stay clear of these.
As to fit, these fins, with a heel strap, were way more comfortable than the short fins with the full heel. The strap allows the user to adjust the tightness of the fin on the foot. The full heel styles either fit or they don't. If they don't fit, well you're just out of luck.
The toe box was very comfortable. There was no pressure from side to side, or over the top of the foot, or squeezing the toes. We wear very thin wet socks, which makes it easy to slide the fins on and minimizes chafing, but even without socks it was easy enough to put on the fins.
The little loop on the heel strap is handy, both for pulling the strap up over the heel and for hanging the fin on an equipment belt hook.
The length was great for snorkeling. You got stability and thrust but the fins weren't clumsy or ungainly. If you like to free dive to greater depths you probably need a longer fin, but for paddling about these were nicely proportioned.
So, of all the styles and makes this set turned out to be the best overall, and a happy choice.
