I love it! So does everyone else who has seen it!

Superb sound and picture quality, very easy to use menu system. Supplied software makes converting videos for it easy. Buy a screen protector and case, though.

I assumed that films would be unwatchable on a screen this size, but no problem at all.

It takes SD cards, which are cheap as chips, so the 2GB Zen is the best buy.

One drawback, do NOT let family or friends use it. You will never get it back! Have just ordered a second one...

This Media player is as small as your average credit card and weighs about 65 grams. It has a 2.5" TFT screen which supports 16.7 million colours. Yes, it surely gives a beautiful, vivid colour display.

It comes in different capacity. 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB and a 32 GB. I have this 2 GB one. Reason I chose the smallest capacity was because I didn't think I'd need to store many files. Further, it has an SD card slot. So I got myself a 4 GB SD card and that gave me 6 GB of space.

Now, what are its capabilities? It plays mp3, wma,wav and aac. It also has the capability to play videos in the following formats; MPEG, WMV9, MPEG-4, DivX, XviD. Mind you, you still need to convert the videos to the size of 320 x 240. They have a converter software along with the application that comes with the Media player. But the converter as I experienced, only converts all the videos to wmv. I used a software called Any Video Converter to convert my video files. Get the free version.

It stores photos in JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF formats. It has a voice recorder which I find the quality quite good, because it kind of diminishes the background noises. It also comes with an FM radio. Which I think a good thing.

The downside of the media player is that, when you use the SD card, it is not fully intergrated to the media player. Which means, they don't play automatically like the music or movies you store in the flash memory. For me, it is still okay. I store my music on the flash memory and only my movies in the SD card.

Another con is, also related to the SD card, whenever I try to do a forward or rewind of movies from the SD card, it gets jammed up sometimes. Freezes. The solution to this is, reset it. You need a pin with you at all times. People complain about this.

This is my first mp3 player and I am delighted with its performance so far. I have bought several Creative products in the past and always found them to be reliable, no-nonsense and offering great sound. This is all true with the Zen. It really is fantastically easy to use and has the added bonus of being re-chargeable via your computer rather than through a bulky wall-charger. The screen is a good size and the display is clear and unfussy; also love the very generous battery life.

Use the accompanying software to edit the info of your music, so it appears as you want it on the player. The sound is excellent, though serious music-lovers will probably want to buy a better set of headphones as the ones included are a bit naff. I only went for the 2GB but this can be expanded with an cheap external memory card.

It's not as stylishly iconic as the ipod but this little player is an unpretentious, quality gadget that does what it sets out to do and offers terrifically good value for money. Highly recommended.
