Had one of these a while along with the transmitter - that starter package cost around £40. So I figured I would buy 2 more receivers and hook in to allow me to play the same piece of music from my PC to whichever room(s) I ahppen to be in - so now if I am moving around the house I can still hear the same track with no break in continuity or sound level.

This works well once set up and is a way cheaper solution than some alternatives (assuming you have multiple sound output devices around the house already) . Plus - if using iTunes player on the PC I can drive my playlist on the move with the iPad 'Remote' app - so there is no need to go back to the PC to skip a track or add to the queue.

Each receiver comes with its own remote controller so sound levels can also be adjusted locally as well as selected to be on or off from the PC by selection of 'Zones' . You could just carry one of these as they all work with all the receivers i.e. no channel selectors or jumpers on them

A couple of key points which may not be obvious as I have seen some negative reviews on these topics:
- you must buy at least one compatible Creative transmitter - it won't work without it - and the PC software comes with the transmitter
- this package does not use Bluetooth or WiFi - so will not be compatible with other types of transmitter.

Also the Creative transmitter is effectively a sound card where you can set up the room ambient effects etc but also has a 3mm jack to connect PC speakers or headphones as well as the antennae for wireless broadcast to other music systems

Works for me!

It's not as simple as apple's airplay, but if you want to play music from your laptop to multiple hubs around the home, this is a great low cost solution. I bought it for a friends party. Set it up in multiple rooms for music playback throughout the ground floor and it worked seemlessly.

Excellent device, works well and has good connectivity to any hifi system. You need the transmitter to go with it of course.

As with all Creative Labs products - good quality... slightly expensive... but, always worth it.

Packaging was very secure and product very easy to setup, Would recommend to anyone interested in creating their own music center to buy this product for the price.
