I am a trainee counsellor and I have read this book from cover to cover over and over in preperation of my exam. I feel this is usually a hard task to do with all text books because they become a little complex and the reader will loose interest. A lot of text books you can dip in and out of and some you can read cover to cover. This one relates to the latter because it is very simple and easy to understand. It is titled creating the Therapeutic relationship but I must stress that there is only one chapter which focuses on the Therapeutic Relationship. However this is a very productive chapter and the rest of the book is very productive also covering a wide range of the counselling process including interesting case studies.
