The premise of the novel is that Fallon and Jack team up to allow Fallon to save face in front of her family at a wedding. Usually the way these stories start can be a little unrealistic – but one of the things I loved about Crazy For You was that it was totally believable. Not a billionaire, nor a struggling artist, no cliché needed, just great writing.
Jack was such a strong, likable guy with the protective trait built in. He doesn’t expect to get anything more out of the trip with Fallon than some laughs, but he might be in for more this festive season than he expects.
My feels were well and truly exercised in this book. The alternating POV allowed us to be immersed in Fallon and Jack’s reasoning for taking this crazy opportunity.
I laughed, smiled and cried with this book. It won’t be a book that will make you ugly cry – but it will be one that will cause a bit of leakage!
A sweet story which was well wrote out to. For my own personal taste it was to sweet for me and I needed a bit more more that's my own personal preference, nothing to do with this authors writing.
This is Fallon and Jacks story. At first Fallon really annoyed me and I felt like she needed t get a backbone and stand up for herself more, but I did warm up to her eventually. As for Jack he just seemed a bit lacking in the personality department but together I really enjoyed their banter.
Good sweet festive read.

Jack was a homicide detective until he caught the kind of case that haunts you, one involving a kid. He can't get past it so he turned in his shield & is going to go find something else to do. After Fallon hits him with her offer, he decides it won't hurt to drive up the coast to spend Christmas with his family after a quick stop to help her out.
I really enjoyed this story! Fallon is finding a way to fight back against the small town gossips that made her life so hard. She just has a tall, dark, handsome ex-cop helping her put them in their place. The plot is fairly easy but Ms. Bell uses just the right amount of emotion to get her point across in each scene. There was humor, sarcasm, family, romance & sexiness. The supporting characters are adorable. David, Fallon's son, is a entertaining character that you can't help falling in love with. This was a perfect homecoming story to be released at this time. I would recommend this to everyone that enjoys contemporary romances & happy endings!
It was lucky I read it in public, otherwise I'd have teared up in a couple of spots. Yes, I'm a total sap, but it's also a testament to the chemistry between the characters, and how right they are for each other.
Fallon is a likable heroine, with (gasp!) a past; and while 'blank romantic slate' is a fairly common trope, it's not something I really enjoy reading.
Jack also has a past, and that's part of what makes them perfect for each other. Perhaps their similarities were kind of shoved in your face, in a 'wow, guys look how perfect they are for one another' at the end, which I found unnecessary. Their behaviour throughout the book displayed that, without needing the added schmaltz.
Aside from that, Crazy For You is both as sweet as I'd thought it would be, but with enough heat to stop it being unbearable for a grinch like me.
Fallon McQueen is going home for the Christmas
holidays. She will need to attend her ex-husband's
wedding!!! Now she needs a fake boyfriend to take
home with her.
Jack Cooper is a retired cop filling in as Santa Claus.
On his way home from the event, he apprehends a
burglar braking into Fallon's house. She arrives in the
midst of the take down outside her house.
And so the story takes off on a zany, sweet, feisty and
steamy adventure for both well defined and engaging
Great story for festive holiday spirit!!!
I volunteered to read the eBook. Thanks to the author
for the eBook. My opinion is my own.
Jack Cooper is no Santa Claus; he’s a burnt-out cop who turned in his badge and is trying to figure out the next part of his life. Next thing he knows, he apprehends a burglary suspect and is asked to attend an out-of-town Christmas wedding with the attractive blonde almost-burglary victim! In a moment of “why the heck not,” Jack agrees to Fallon’s plan. They hit the highway to head to Starlight Falls, Fallon’s hometown. And it is not all smooth driving, literally and figurally!
This story had a lot of humor and fun chemistry between Fallon and Jack. But where it really hit the mark was with the emotional aspects of Fallon’s relationship with her son and the pain she felt at her perceived failures. I do not want to give up any spoilers, but beneath the blonde, put-together LA woman lies a loving, generous girl who, despite her best intentions, has been long misunderstood by the denizens of Starlight Falls. Jack himself has some issues, but his belief in all that is good in Fallon helps them both find their way to a happily-ever-after that made me smile!
Heatherly Bell tells such a good story I hated it come to an end.
