Written in first person alternate PoV makes it feel fresh and immediate, and gives you a very real sense of tension. Knowing that music manager Graham Callahan is in the audience doesn't help matters: on the one hand they desperately want to be noticed by him; on the other it will be much harder to disguise anything less than perfection. And right now they're a long way from perfection.
The sexy Nate Darke is supposed to somehow pull the band together in order to deliver a premium performance at the ungodly hour of six a.m. Instead, he finds his mojo missing, and his libido cranked up to 11 over the bass player from their biggest rival to winning the coveted new spot in Callahan's stable of stars. But is the feisty and frankly gorgeous Loveday Trevaskis interested in him, or is she just pretending in order to further wreck their plans for stardom?
Fast-paced but never lacking in detail, Crazy Love is a brand new venture into the British rock scene, with the promise of more books to come as the other members of Paradise Kiss get to tell their stories. I can't wait!

So. There we are. The bands need to bring their best game, their best work, to the audition early the next morning. But uh oh. There's even more stress to come for Paradise Kiss. See, the chink in their armor is bass player, Knox who has issues with drugs. Great guy, but he has a real problem with drugs...one that Nate- the band member that holds them all together- defends and protects constantly against the other members who are fed up with the trouble this causes. Nate wants to present this song he has been working on at the audition, but Knox has to help. And Knox has disappeared and time is running out.
How Nate and Loveday get together and become twist #2- or #3, I lost count- is what you'll hv to read to find out. If you like rocker and rock band related stories I think you will love this one. It's a little different. The lead male rocker is sexy but sweet and real, and I think he has met his match in Loveday. This is NOT a "sweet" story, mind you. There's plenty of snark, sly humor, music, rock life...but with with people presented as real- with flaws and all.
So what happens when Bitch Slap also gets the attention of Graham Callahan? Mr. Callahan wants the two bands to duel it out in a 6 a.m. audition that coming morning. Yep, just the time most rock bands are at their best…not! The boys have their hands full because they are not sure if Knox is going to be able to hold it together to make that audition and Joel is already talking to Nate about asking Loveday to take over as bass player for their band. Is Nate going to leave his best friend behind especially if Knox isn’t fit to do the audition or is he going to give in to the sexy little bassist from Bitch Slap who has connected with Nate not only on a musical level but on every other level the two rockers can get in to? This is one hell of a good rock romance read with very hot action between Nate and Loveday and I can’t wait to see what’s next for the boys of Paradise Kiss.
