About the Author

A native of Florida, Sandra Owens once managed a Harley-Davidson dealership, before switching from a bike to an RV for roaming the open road (though she’s also chased thrills from sky-diving to upside-down stunt-plane flying). In addition to Crazy for Her—a 2013 Golden Heart Finalist for Romantic Suspense—her works include the Regency Romance novels The Letter and The Training of a Marquess, winner of the Golden Claddagh Award. A member of Romance Writers of America, and potential cat owner, she lives with her husband in Asheville, North Carolina.

His widow calls for the help of his best friend, who was also her husband's boss and led the raid to rescue somebody from the Taliban, when her husband died. I enjoyed reading this book it was a very different story line and I can't wait for the next book to come out so I can read it to. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to read about the navy seals.

First book in K2 team novel by Sandra Owens.
This book is was recommended by Amazon and because free on unlimited kindle I thought I'd give it a try.
Thankfully was a great read and looking forward to more.
Logan was a navy SEAL team leader and his number two was his best friend Evan but while on a mission Evan dies leaving a wife and a very small baby behind. Logan has loved Evan wife Dani from the first day they met but it wasn't meant to be until not long after Evan death Dani starts to get weird phone calls from a guy claiming to be Evan then it gets worst when he brakes into her home to leave presents in her daughter Reagan crib.
Dani contacts Logan asking for his help and to protect herself and Reagan.
Dani is a single mum who writes romances and well as children books.
I loved that Logan had a total secret side that is beautifully revealed with the help of Dani. I really like that Dani even though asking for help is still very strong independent character and doesn't come across as just a housewife.
Really enjoy story and all characters involved looking forward to Romeo story.
My only issue was the two narrator's, I would have been better the women only speaking for the h character and the male narrator speaking for only men. Was distracting listening to the man trying to do a female voice was funny at first but got annoying after a while.

An easy read with characters that I connected to early on in the book. Dani was lovely and Logan sumptuous with me desperately routing for them. At first I thought the storyline was going to be extremely simplistic with a typical hero rescue then hea. There is so much more going on with personal issues within both characters often taking a forefront and totally unexpected by myself. There are emotional scenes and some rather sad occurrences but not quite as tough to handle as Rachel Robinson's crazy good. All in all an incredibly great read, so much so that I have already prebooked the next novel. Disappointed that the next book is not published until January 2015 but focuses on Logan's sister Maria and ex seal who earned the nickname Romeo (both feature to some extent in this book) so I am so looking forward to their story!

I read this book out of chronological order which was a shame as I didn't appreciate "Someone like her" as much as I would now. This is a good tale with plenty of twists and turns, enough to hold your attention through the book. Enjoyable and a bit steamy in places this was definitely worth its 5*rating from me.

Really enjoyable book, likable characters with a bittersweet storyline. Having lost her husband Dani had come to accept it, but his best friend Logan hasn't got over his guilt with his death and can't face moving on particularly to act on his love for Dani. They get their HEA after Logan protects her.

This book has it all for me and was a delight to read. What more is there than romance, a baby, tragic circumstances, kidnapping and plenty of hunky ex navy seals
Going for book 2 in the series now, loved it.

I loved this book, found it difficult to put down. I like a good romance novel with action and certainly got that with this one. Both main characters are really likable and you only want good things for them when they have been through so much. Well done Sandra Owens looking forward to reading the next one which I have already download 😄
