Seems like the first artbook Cult Movie Art was successful enough to warrant this sequel. Fans of movie inspired art should rejoice.

Some background first. Crazy 4 Cult is a cult movie art collection, featuring art from Gallery 1988, a Los Angeles art gallery that opened in 2004 that focuses on pop-culture themed artwork.

This book sequel features another 176 pages of film inspired art. Not movie posters, but artworks relating to the movies, specifically cult movies. Some of the movie titles include A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Donnie Darko, Alien, Ghostbusters, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and more.

There are lots of beautiful big artworks that would appeal to the movie geek fans. The quality and selection seems better than the first book.

If you like movie art, also check out Alternative Movie Posters.

I bought this volume first after reading a movie mag review, and have to say that although the quality of the art within is superb, it does seem to be weighed heavily in favour of some cult films over others - and the same films with some exceptions crop up again here - Willy Wonka, Edward Scissorhands, Clockwork Orange, Harold & Maude and The Princess Bride to name a handful.
Again, the printing is top - notch and once more the dust jacket hides more examples.
Basically, well worth the outlay, but the 2 volumes are quite similiar in content . . . . . more diversity please if there is to be future volumes!!

I liked the first book and bought the second one on the strength of it. Simple as that really! There's some fantastic artwork inside. As with the vast majority of compilations it's unlikely every single take on a theme is going to appeal to everyone but the hit rate is high and it's well priced.
