You can get "red" and "blue" crayons with any old set, but with the 64 pack of Crayola crayons you get to spice up your pictures with exotic colors like "Robin's Egg Blue" or "Purple Mountain Majesty"! The 64 pack continues its tradition of being the ultimate pack of crayons with features like the built-in sharpener in the back of the package, and two-level "theater-style seating" for the crayons which makes them easier to grasp! Crayons measure 3 5/8" x 5/16".

All 64 were present in the pack and none of the crayons were broken or had been damaged in any way. Although the item description does not state what colours are present, the crayons were actually labelled and they offered an excellent range of colours, with plenty of cold and warm colours present.
They seemed to be made of paraffin wax and pigment for colour and I would say that they were very good (but not high) quality crayons, that were average sized and an ideal size for my 5 year old nephew to colour with.
We used these on different types of paper and found that the crayons were fairly smooth, relatively vibrant, inconsistent to shade with (some colours OK, others not), were nice to grip and were definitely smoother on good quality colouring books than standard A4 paper.
My 5 year old nephew really liked using these and I must admit that I liked using them too. They were ideal to use on certain colouring book pages, especially wider areas and offered something a bit different.
What I didn't like about them was that they did not feel strong when I gripped them tightly and I was very concerned that they were going to either snap or break after rolling off the table.
What I did like about them though was that they could be taken out via the trays so they could be accessed easier, although it was a bit tricky trying to reach the inner part of the trays to remove them (best to take 1-2 crayons out first).
I also liked how they came with a free sharpener, that was integrated into the back, how they were 3 times cheaper than certain colouring pencils and how they made a lot less mess than pens and markers!
