The other odd point is that these are supposed to be for people who go treking, and hiking, so if you were wearing these in a warm sunny country, whilst doing this, and you need to wash them, how are you going to dry them without them being in direct sunlight??? impossible in that situation but that is another issue highlighted on the care label.
Loads of lovely pockets by the way. The phone pocket is easily big enough for my sons Nexus 5.
EDIT - They came back from an expedition. I was really pleased with them. I had not realised the back pockets were zipped and there are two sets of hand pockets - there are zipped pockets behind the open ones which was a pleasant surprise as I felt confident I wouldn't lose my wallet or keys. I am usually a 32 reg but I think I may have preferred a long size. I found that sometimes the trousers wouldnt sit exactly where I wanted them to and on one day my thighs did get chafed by the crotch seam somewhat. I will have to investigate why that was but would definitely recommend these trousers for the price, quality and general comfort, and I am thinking about buying another pair already.
One last thing I almost forgot - They come with a belt that I thought was a bit cheap at first but in fact I realised as the clasp is plastic it would have prevented me having to remove my belt when going through customs as I have to do with all my other belts, so I recommend keeping it if you are tired of doing that when traveling too.
I'd heard complaints about a downturn in the quality of the material in this product but it wasn't in evidence here. There have been some minor changes in the classic kiwi design since I bought my last pairs 3 or 4 years ago - the side pockets are a little shallower than previous pairs :^( but the phone pocket in the cargo pocket is now big enough to fit a smart phone :^) - but all in all I'm delighted with them.
They now hamper my movements and get in the way even on relatively flat ground. Shame - I liked them.
These trousers as 38 inch waist medium leg are £25 (ish), the 38 inch waist long leg are £10 cheaper.
I bought the longer ones, as when in the woods, I regularly tuck the trousers up into old sport sock tops (as "gaiters").
This is an effective block to ticks (Stops Lyme disease).
Very impressed. My last budget trousers, bought from the high street, were cheap in all senses.
These are a step up in quality, for me at least.
