Product description

Product Description

The brand new Toseland album, “Cradle The Rage”, will be released worldwide on the 11th March 2016. The band are setting out on a 10 date UK tour to support the release in the same month.

“Cradle The Rage” is the follow up to the critically and commercially successful album “Renegade”. Production duties again come from Toby Jepson (The Answer, Virgin Marys, Little Angels), with mixing duties now taken on by the legendary Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Bryan Adams, Motley Crue). The album will be available to pre order in January with first single available as an instant grat download from then. There will also be physical bundle option with exclusive t-shirt.

Toseland's debut album “Renegade” was released in March 2013. It has sold 13,000 copies in the UK to date, and the band have headlined 3 sell out tours and played to thousands of people on numerous festivals including Car Fest, Ramblin Man, Isle Of Wight and Hard Rock Hell. The success of Renegade led to the band inking a licensing deal with German label Metalville earlier this year, and that deal will see new album Cradle The Rage released globally in March.

Recently frontman James Toseland's filmed an appearance on True Grit, a new BBC2 documentary where he, Gareth Thomas (rugby legend), Donavon Bailey (Double Olympic champion) and former 400m world champion Iwan Thomas go head to head and take on some of the most extreme challenges around the globe! The 4 part documentary will air in the Spring of 2016.

This is a collection of killer rock songs - so much better than what much better known bands are releasing these days, really! No weak stuff here, honestly, it's a very tight rocking beast, "Cradle the Rage" with the vocalist (Katie Melua's hubby, if you didn't yet know that) singing his heart out, BUT I must say this new album lacks some assets of Toseland's previous CD - like humour and diversity.

Strident and pretty heavy at times and - to me - reminiscent of The Cult in their heyday. Toseland's voice is right for the band, but his piano playing doesn't get much airing on this album. I wonder what his wife thinks of it ? Great for the motorway !!

Basically it is a good rock album but it isn't as good as Renegade. It gets four stars because James is such a nice guy - hung around after his gig in Poole for ages chatting to fans.

Not as good as Renegade or Hearts and Bones EP. It's good heart felt energetic stuff but it won't stay often in my car CD drawer.

A good album but the tracks were similar, less variety of tempo compared to previous releases.
