This is ideal for someone who wants to initiate on economics, it will get basic ideas for wide range of topics on economics.
One mislead expectation I got was from the cover as the title says "3000 years of financial" my mind though on "3000 years of financial history" and I was expecting a book on financial history, economic events all around the history, one book on this topic would be very interesting, right now there is a crisis in economic science where there is an abandon of complex economic models that fail to analysis the economy substituting it for studying financial history, a recent interview of Mervyn King, governor of the bank of england during the financial crisis he stated that the process to enter the bank should be changed and include a background of having studied financial history, saying otherwise theories are failing and instead of theorising how things should be, observe and understand how things work, and how things may play out in the next time, so a book on this would be fantastic, including pictures, graphs for example is usually said the 1929 crash was preceded by a dropdown on the M2 monetary base, this has stopped working and as a leading indicator for investing and economic analysis to predict market crashes. A book showing all indicator, with charts, all of that would be of those it would be very valuable.
The price I paid 6 pounds for this book is fantastic.
In summary, good book, congratulations to the author.
