Romantic and erotic. Can't wait for the next one.
This is the 4th book in the series and is something of a change about from the others. While the previous books the male lead was “you are mine I know it” this times it’s the female lead that is sure about the mate bond and the male lead that is going “no no”.
The book jumps back a year at the start and gives you several chapters covering the accident Jake was involved in and his subsequent recovery & rehab and how Claire came to be living on the ranch. This jump back also gives up more information about how the McKade parents died. The book then jumps in to the “Ladies night” from book 1 then to sometime after the end of book 3. This is one of the times that having read the rest of the series that it was easy to keep up with the time frame but if you haven’t read the others there is enough back story to help you orientate to current events. When Claire’s abusive mother tries to derail her happiness be prepared to see the McKade women save the day. Who says women can’t be saviours!
There is once again updates about previous main characters and family members, as well as introduce a few more back ground characters that are brought in during the natural flow of events. Reading things there could easily be many more books generated from this series as the McKade family expands with the introduction of cousins and others that have benefited from living with the McKades.
One word of warning, there is one scene involving bondage but like in previous books in the series, it is there to show the trust and love between the couple not anything else and is mild compared to some bondage scenes I have read in romance books.
Overall this is an entertaining read and one where you see the change of Jake during the length of the book. Enjoy!
