Mandy Moore is back with another album which continues her on her path of change from pop starlet to mature singer. The process of change started on her previous album, moves on a notch on this pleasing collection of covers which are far maturer and different to anything she has produced before.
The material is a range of well known songs and lesser known ones and covers a period from the seventies and eighties. Surprisingly the tracks work well with songs from the likes of Elton John.(mad hatters and mona lisas)Joan Armatrading(drop the pilot) Blondie(one way or another) The Waterboys(whole of the moon) XTC(senses working overtime), to other artists such as, Carole King, Joe Jackson and Carly Simon. A surprising pick from someone so young, but the production values are not slick or overproduced, they have an intimate feel to them. Overall a very pleasing album and an exciting pointer to where Mandy is headed next. I definately reccomend.

I am a huge fan of Mandy Moore and thank god for Amazon because Mandys music is realy hard to find in the U.K but now i have it and i think it is amazing! Mandy's covers from artists such as Sir Elton John are amazing. This album should be in the charts in the U.K because i think it could do realy well. she is realy big in America and she could make it big time over here because most people know her from her first song Candy and her hit films The Princess Diaries and A Walk To Remember. So the U.K deserves to give her another chance because she is amzing, beutifull and very talented. Its obvious that people love her music from reviews above mine^!. An amazing album one for all the family Mandy you are the best!.

I got this album quite a while ago and I still absolutely love it! Ive been a luke-warm fan of mandy moore's music but this all changed when I brought 'Coverage', its a very impressive, independant and mature album her vocal range has definately improved with age... You also find that shes manage to keep up the class with the covers she brings to the table, even with old songs she still manages to make them something unique and special to her and yet she doesnt lose the sound of the songs era!... its an album Ill be listening to for a long time..good on ya mandy!!

Mandy Moore's previous albums and her acting in 'A Walk to Remember' have already made me a big fan, but this ambitious collection of cover versions is, believe me, one of the most satisfying, mature, well arranged albums ever released.
I never imagined anyone could better the original versions of Elton John's 'Mona Lisas', Joni Mitchell's 'Help Me', Blondie's 'One Way or Another' or Cat Steven's 'Moonshadow', but Mandy Moore has achieved the impossible, with a versatile and intimate vocal style. The instrumentation is extremely accomplished, yet never over-polished or mechanical.
Of the songs I knew already, only Carly Simon's Anticipation fails to top the original; even this is a worthy interpretation, with some surprises.
The 19-year-old starlet talks about anything and everything on the bonus DVD. She combines teenage excitabilty with a down-to-earth and intellegent manner. This is not marketing. Mandy Moore is definitely at the helm on this project, and she's doing exceptionally well.
Coverage is a testament to songwriters of the previous generation, performed by someone who makes me proud to be part of this one. Don't miss out on the experience.
P.S. Mandy's music is very hard to get hold of in British shops. Thank goodness for Amazon!

This is Mandy's 4th album to date and i think that it is her best yet. Mandy is currently trying her skills as a song writer because lets face it, she can do everything else, and recording this album has opened her eyes to how hard a song writer has to work. I think that releasing this album of covers is a fantastic turn in Mandy's career and that every song on it has been given her touch and has been made so that it sounds as good or better than the original. The only downside to Mandy's career is that it doesn't really expand overseas to Britain. i know that if she were to come here then her music would be taken down well. The last thing i remember over here was 'Candy' that was released ages ago. I love this album and think that everyone should buy it just for the sake of it, lets bring Mandy back to the UK!!!!!!!!!

I have to say I detest 98% of the output of the Britney's, Jessica's and Mandy's but was surprised to hear that Mandy Moore was going to cover XTCs 'Senses Working Overtime' so listened to it on her website.
I have to say this is one of the oddest but pleasantly surprising albums of the year so far.
Hearing that a covers album from Mandy Moore would include Blondie, Carole King and Carly Simon is news that will shatter the world of no-one.
But XTC? Todd Rundgren? Joe Jackson?
Of course there are duff tracks- most notably Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters (not that good a song anyway). But Breaking Us In Two, Senses Working Overtime and even Help Me are really very good.
Whether these are her choices or her minders', some credit needs to be given for *at least* trying something different. The US reviews have been extraordinarily po-faced and I'm guessing any UK ones will be too.
