Review

"Some alliances are still dangerous--recruiting monsters to fight the monstrous is always a dicey proposition--and double agents abound. Side characters' romantic storylines are interwoven with the strategizing and even the war, pairing the expanded world with extended action sequences and character revelations, and the conclusion's ramifications will be felt in the next installments." - Kirkus Reviews

"Passionate, violent, sexy and daring. . . . A true page-turner, A Court of Thorns and Roses will envelop you in its telling, intriguing and delighting you in turn. . . . Not to be missed!" - USA Today on A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES

"Suspense, romance, intrigue and action. This is not a book to be missed!" - Huffington Post on A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES

"Author Sarah J. Maas delivers what may be her best work to date in the fairy tale-inspired A Court of Thorns and Roses. Enchanting, spellbinding and imaginative." - USA Today on A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES

"Simply dazzles. . . . the clamor for a sequel will be deafening." - starred review, Booklist on A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES

"A thrilling game changer that's fiercely romantic, irresistibly sexy and hypnotically magical. . . . A flawless sequel that will once again leave us desperately clamoring for more, more, more." - USA Today on A COURT OF MIST AND FURY

"[T]he world is exquisitely crafted, the large cast of secondary characters fleshed out, the action intense, and the twist ending surprising, heartrending, and, as always, sure to guarantee readers' return. . . . When has Maas not churned out a best-seller? Her ongoing Throne of Glass series is enormously popular, and this sequel in an equally devoured new series is primed for similar success." - Booklist on A COURT OF MIST AND FURY

"An immersive, satisfying read." - Publishers Weekly on A COURT OF MIST AND FURY

"Hits the spot for fans of dark, lush, sexy fantasy." - Kirkus Reviews on A COURT OF MIST AND FURY

Sarah J. Maas has once again created a masterpiece, as always her writing was wonderful to read. The way she is able to build such a vivid and beautiful world is amazing and I was gripped from the first line. At the end of A Court of Mist and Fury we leave Feyre back at the Spring Court and in the heart of enemy territory. I have being looking forward to see Feyre play spy for so long and was so happy to find that it definitely lived up to all of my expectations. I adored that we got to see a lot more of Lucian and I feel like we really got to know his character better. I loved the intense moments between him and Feyre when they don't know whether to trust each other or not, they are just perfection. I'm not sure whether it was supposed to be funny but I really found it hilarious, at one point I just could not stop laughing everyone in my house literally though I was going crazy. Maas really created some epic moments that are just incredibly well done, that I will never forget.

“Night Triumphant - and the Stars Eternal.
If he was the sweet, terrifying darkness, I was the glittering light that only his shadows could make clear.”

Now lets get to Rhysand...erm.. what can I even say? OH YES!! HE WAS AMAZING! I loved every single Rhys moment that we got to see and I just love him as a character and even though I didn't think that his character could be developed any more after reading ACOMAF, the way Maas wrote his development blew me away it was phenomenal. Now to all my other favourites, all I'm going to say is I adore them all especially Cassian and Azriel. Again it was pure perfection. Mor and Amren's character development also really went somewhere in this book, I never expected what happens to happen and I am still surprised and amazed at the great things that Sarah J.

This book left me breathless. I truly wasn't prepared for it! Feyre and Rhys yet again captured my heart. Their love, described with talented words, is so deep and tangible that you can feel it for yourself.

The previous book left Feyre in enemy territory. Back in the Spring Court with Tamlin after he basically betrayed everyone, including her human family, to get her back. He loves her and believes, somehow, that Rhys twisted her mind with his powers to turn Feyre against him. But Feyre is Rhy's true mate and equal in every way and he allows her freedom and choice and to live how she wishes whereas Tamlin wants to cage her away, doesn't believe she is strong enough to live for herself.

Feyre shows us her wit and intelligence as she seeks to weaken Tamlin's court from the inside and punish him for allowing Hybern (an evil Fae king who wishes to destroy and enslave humans and all the courts and rule it all for himself) to camp in the Spring Court. She even shows a much darker, vengeful side that I enjoyed. But it is all far more complicated than that. Those they believe are enemies are secretly seeking to help and those they believed as allies... Will they step up? Nothing was certain. Lives were lost. And the ending blew me away.

This book left me crying, happy and tense. I can't wait for the next book. Some things still need to be wrapped up! These Archeron sisters are really making these near perfect men work for their affection! I hope it all works out for them.

An amazing third book! I can't be any more of a fan of this author.

Beautifully written , the descriptions used By Maas had me in the book with the characters. I would get lost within it , I smiled often, laughed and cried. There isn't a character I don't love. I did feel in places it went on and on over irrelevant things then didn't expand on important things. I would have liked to know more about what happened with Rhys at the battle and how a certain experience didn't effect him ?? (without saying too much) I'm pleased another book is due out next year as I felt left hanging over Nesta & Cassian. Overall this is a action packed tense love story . I would highly recommend it and I'm sooo in love with Rhys

If you know me then you will know that I don't read a series very often so is a huge testament to the superb writing of Sarah J Mass that I've spent the last 3 weeks totally wrapped up in this series. I've loved every word, every twist, every turn, every villain coming good and the good going bad, this series has kept me on the edge of my seat and just when you think you have to sussed that's when it all goes to hell. If there was another book in this series I'd have stated by now but as I write this review I feel the stirrings of a book hungover just waiting for me, I actually feel lost - I'm praying for another book real soon !

So I love all SJ's books but I have to say I got really frustrated with this one for the first 20 chapters or so. It seemed there were plenty of machinations and reasons for the characters doing the things they did but that didn't become clear until much later in the book. I'm glad I kept reading though because I enjoyed part 3 so much. The battle was amazingly written and vivid in my mind. I wanted more resolution for some of the characters and felt sorry I didn't know what happened with them but maybe that will come in future books... who knows? I have that emotional happy sad feeling that means I'm really going to miss this world and characters ( well most of them😉) despite the slow beginning to this book. Now all I have to do is find something to cure my book hangover...
