This must be a favourite of mine - it is the first book I purchased from Amazon when I started knitting less than one year ago. The pictures are great and what a variety! I chose on pattern and started - I had to knit three socks to get the standard I required but what fun!! It was not the fault of the pattern I assure you but turning the heel is hard anyway. I found the instructions easy to read and follow, it was only my fingers which let me down in those early days! I treasure my book by Madeline Weston and it is a permanent part of my knitting collection.

Just what I was expecting. For the record, there is no "perfect" sock book for everyone. But I like this one.
