5.0 out of 5 stars ~~Educational as well as colorful drawings~~ 9 Feb. 2014

I really thought this was an exceptional educational tool for learning numbers. The first portion goes from the numbers 1 + 2 up through 9 + 10. Then the next portion is 2 + 1 through 10 + 9. And, finally, 10 + 1 through 5 + 6. An outstanding manner in which your little ones will be able to observe the numbers in different patterns.

The author suggests ages 3 to 7 for the book.

Most highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, effective way for kids to learn the first ten numbers 17 Mar. 2014
By J. Chambers - Published on Amazon.com

Learning to count to ten and learning the alphabet are the two most basic learning skills that kids must master before they tackle anything else. "What Numbers Do When Nobody Is Home" is a nice picture book that teaches counting from 1 to 10 in an enjoyable way with rhyming text and colorful illustrations of the numbers. The pictures of the numbers are colored the same as the text numbers to help kids associate the written number with the graphical symbol of the number. At the end of the book is a fun quiz for kids to see how well they've learned.

I did notice one small boo-boo - the first time that the number 6 is spelled, it's misspelled as "sixth." Hopefully the author will revise that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great number book 26 July 2014
By stigabre - Published on Amazon.com

Fun and entertaining book for little ones. I expected it to be short but it actually had more going on than expected. The pictures of the numbers are very cute. Love the surprised look on the kids faces when they find the painted doors. Also, there are lots of activities for little ones at the end of the book. Pity I don't know how to print them. Overall, a nice fun book with good rhymes.
5.0 out of 5 stars what numbers do when nobody is home 12 May 2014

Great book. My boys ages 5 and 3 loved it. Good rhyming with numbers and at the end of the book there are games like finding the missing number, finding the number of painting cans on a picture and so on. The best part is that it was free on amazon kindle!!!
