From the Publisher
A superb book for those interested in the history of fashion, constantly being re-printed. Widely used by theatre and film producers as well as colleges of art and design. Ideal for students studying for examinations. Numerous finely detailed drawings throughout which can be used in the re-creation of accurate period custume.
About the Author
Nancy Bradfield was an advisor to the National Trust on some of their collections and a lecturer on the History of Costume at Gloucester College of Art. The majority of research has been done in private collections and has culminated in this remarkably fine set of highly skilled, well documented drawings and detailed studies of dresses and accessories, only a handful of which have ever been seen in public.

I am using the book as a reference but I do think that if you're good/experienced at making your own patterns you could recreate the dresses with the detail given.
