Hands down the best keyboard I have ever owned and I have owned a lot of keyboards over the past 17 years of gaming.
This thing is very very durable, hard aluminium chasis, real heavy and top quality. It is built to last.
I have the red cherry version and it's perfect for gaming as it's super responsive. However, if you do a lot of typing on a regular basis then I would suggest getting the brown version as it's more typing friendly.
The led light on this keyboard is some of the best I've seen, pictures really don't do it justice. It's an exceptionally lush, rich red. It looks absolutely bad ass especially if the rest of your setup is red themed as well.

I bought this Corsair Vengeance K70 with Cherry MX Blue switches from ADMI Limited. It's a good keyboard. A great keyboard. A bit on the pricey side, but if it lasts a long time that's money well spent. However. I was confused because the description said the backlight was red, whereas the product preview clearly shows a keyboard with blue backlighting. Because of this I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I decided to purchase one anyway, because while blue is prettier in my opinion, red backlighting is less fatiguing on the eyes at night. I also heard the red LEDs were more reliable. Typing on one of these compared to a chiclet-style keyboard is completely different. The Cherry switches actually feel like proper switches, as opposed to touching a pair of wires together. As the most expensive part of my system (yeah, an A10 7850K BE isn't that expensive) you could argue I could have saved some money on the keyboard and gotten better internal hardware. I disagree. High-end peripherals, in my mind, give a very premium feel to an otherwise very inexpensive machine. I really, really like this keyboard. Just change the product picture for other customers so they know what color backlight they're getting. Also, I can't help but feel like the USB passthrough really should have been USB 3 instead of 2. The 5 extra wires in the cable aren't that much to ask for, are they?

Fantastic keyboard for both gamers and typing enthusiasts.

Going from a regular keyboard to a mechanical one takes a good bit of getting used to, but once you're used to it you can never go back to gaming on a regular keyboard. The keyboard is very comfortable to use and comes with key specific customizable back-lighting, if you're that way inclined.

The keys themselves are easy to remove if you need to clean the keyboard, with each key being raised off of a flat surface, making the thing very easy to clean once you've removed the keys.

The one down side to this keyboard is the LEDs tend not to last too long. I've heavily used this keyboard for six months and although the functionality remains perfect, three of the LEDs have failed. It doesn't look like these can be replaced either, so once a LED has gone, that's it, it stays unlit.

But overall, I really love this keyboard, even if the back lighting is a bit suspect.

EDIT 14th July 2014 - Another twenty days on from this review, now seven of the LEDs on the keys have failed. So as before, a great keyboard to play and type with, but the LEDs seem to fail far too quickly.

Bought this to replace a wireless HP which would occasionally miss characters despite moving receiver right next to keyboard. Whilst I think the convenience of a wireless mouse is essential I seldom moved the keyboard and decided to revert to a wired keyboard for accuracy. I liked the engineering features on the Corsair hoped that this would last some while to justify the cost. It does feel substantial and have been really pleased with it in the first month or so. Key action is a delight and very positive. I am unlikely to use all the lighting facilities but have used the standard back light a couple of times (too lazy to get up and switch on the light!!). I find this bright even on the minimum setting. All in all a great (if a tad pricy) keyboard. Only time will tell if this has been a good investment.

I bought the Cherry MX Red version and I think it's great for anyone who is a keen gamer though other switch types will be suitable for other uses e.g. Browns are more clicky and good for typing.

Out of the box you'll first notice how strong the keyboard it. It has a single solid sheet of brushed aluminium across the front of the keyboard and it has a very solid feel to it. Unlike a cheaper plastic product there is virtually no flex in the keyboard if you try to twist / bend it.

The keys themselves are made from a plastic but they feel nice to touch, with a smooth surface to them with the option to change the WSAD and 12345 keys to a red, ridged and more angled key to help pick them out if if needs be. You can remove the keys easily with the tool provided which makes them easy to clean and easy to access the parts behind and clean that too.

The switches really are like day and night if you have been using rubber dome switches up until now. They have a constant actuation force on the MX Reds which is designed to help you have a higher APM (actuations per minute) as keys do not need to be fully depressed before registering the keystroke. It can take a bit of getting use to, especially for typing, and one think you will have to learn is that you do not need to bottom out the keys.

The keyboard can be very noisy, especially when you are getting used to it and naturally bottoming out each key, but once you are used to it and learn that you only have to press the keys part of the way down it's quieter than a cheap rubber dome alternative.

There are also some media controls in the top right hand corner of the keyboard.
