Then I buy these fans, fans that costs me almost 100 pounds, so its interesting that I find that these fans are made of plastics, not only that but one of the wires was already loose when unboxing. (This only applied to one fan). I thought, rather than having to send all three back, I'll slip the wire back in and try them out. and it worked fine at first (See image three). but then after some time it just stopped working, the wire slipped back out, so I try to disconnect the flimsy plastic fan from the flimsy plastic RGB controller and it won't disconnect. Not only that but the other wires were also very delicate and disconnected from the connector.
This is not a product I would expect from Corsair, while I do think that the RGB itself is very nice looking, and the fans do a satisfactory job of keeping the PC cool. I can't understand why I've paid so much for bits of flimsy plastic. I am disappointed in the product and it's not what I'd expect from the higher costs that come from Corsair.
I would not recommend the purchase of this product in anyway.

To complete the transformation, I needed some cooling fans that would light up as well. The watercooler already had two large RGB fans but I needed some for the case itself. Unfortunately, the motherboard (Asus Prime Z390-A) only has 12V RGB outputs and not the more common 5V ARGB outputs. So, I needed a set of fans that come with their own controller.
I decided to go with this Corsair set (iCUE QL 120mm) as I was already using their iCUE software. The biggest stumbling block was the price! While I’ve always liked Corsair products, the asking price was very steep. In the end I decided it was worth it but I still feel they are too expensive.
Fitting was easy. The RGB controller comes with a sticky back and can be placed in any convenient spot in your case. The fans are direct replacements for any 120mm fans. Each fan has two leads, one to go to your motherboard’s fan headers and the other goes into the RGB controller. There are an additional two leads to the controller. One is from any SATA power plug and the other goes to one of the motherboards USB2 header.
Download the iCUE software from Corsair’s website and install it. You are then ready to light up your fans! I now have the iCUE software controlling my motherboard, RAM, water-cooler and case fans and it all works well together.
Overall, a really effective RGB fan set but I wish it was a bit cheaper.

One set can easily be powered (usb + lighting) - but if you don't have enough USB headers then you most definitely need a CoPro for individual light control in iQue.
I didn't bother controlling fan speed through iQue - as I would have needed to plug fan splitters into the CoPro, for the benefit of individual fan speed control I opted for Asus Fan Expert (direct mobo connections).

My main issue is that the 6 newest fans I bought (2x packs of 3 fans) seem to have very sub-par quality control. I’m unsure if this is unique to the QL series, but 3 of 6 QL120 fans I bought since mid-2021 had LEDs failing, which ruins the lighting effect. Thankfully I was able to get replacements directly through Corsair, but I still had to pay the shipping costs to RMA the fans. These are expensive fans and so I’d expect better QC from Corsair.
