I have a Sony VPCF23N1E which has an Intel® Core(tm) i7-2670QM Processor, and after reading tons of technical specifications from all different kind of CPUs and laptop manufacturers, I decided to get my hands on this to compliment my SSD. All I can say I should have done it earlier as everything has just become a lot quicker like my boot time is well under 20 seconds.I have also uploaded couple of screen shots to show that even if Sony states that the maximum ram their product can read is 8GB it can actually read more depending on the CPU.AND LASTLY, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL, THE CORSAIR VENGEANCE IS OUTSTANDING!

Ordered this the same day I got my 15" Mid-2012 MacBook Pro and it was very quick and easy to install. I have to be honest, I didn't really notice much of a difference speed-wise, but I'd only used the Mac for half a day with with the stock 4gb RAM before sticking the 16gb in. Maybe if I'd used it for longer I would've noticed the difference. I've since added a Crucial M4 SSD to my Mac with UNBELIEVABLE speed results! I would urge anyone that has a limited budget but looking for extra speed to upgrade to an SSD before upgrading your RAM. The speed difference is CRAZY! (Unless of cause you use RAM hungry applications). I had read a couple of negative reviews about this RAM being installed in MBP's, so I left my Mac running MemTest overnight, and it didn't report ONE problem! The RAM works perfectly!

Fitted to my Dell xps i7 - 17" laptop really easily and booted up fine, so all good. I had upgraded from 8gb so hopeful doubling up would be noticeable, but on day to day can't really tell much difference. I use Sony Vegas and so the processor and ram is flat out on some renders .. I guess the extra ram helps but again not blown away and difficult to tell as each is different. Best mod by far is to upgrade the hard drive to SSD that is the real game changer .. Extra ram in my case is icing on the cake .. Now what about a better i7 processor ..

It is what it is. It works in my Dell XPS L702 that is 8 years old and only supposed to accept a maximum of 8GB. It has given my laptop a new lease of life. One screw to undo, two clips to flip open removed the old RAM . Reverse to fit and boot up. 16GB recognised and laptop now happy as Larry.

Prior to upgrading my mac book pro my macbook pro early 2011 specs were, 4gb ram, 500 gb sata HDD, intel sandy bridge i7 quad core, 8 threaded 2.0ghz.

I currently run a 256gb samsung 840 pro SSD and a Sandisk 128gb SSD in a raid configuration along side the Corsair Vengeance 16gb ram Dimms.

My work schedule demanded more and more of the memory so I caved and bought the extra ram. I was initially pleasantly surprised. Web pages loaded faster, heavy programs such as final cut, logic and garage band ran smoothly. What I was most impressed with was the value that this ram was offered at, I couldn't find a cheaper price anywhere else.

Installing the Dims was easy enough, just open the back with a phillips screw driver, pull it off, pull open the tab on the ram bay until the old dim pops out and switch it for the new ones. There are plenty of tutorials on Youtube which describe this process in detail if you are concerned about ruining your MacBook. That is not easy to do.

However, there are drawbacks to this added performance. The Mac Book Pro 15 inch 2011, though capable of running 16gb of ram can often be unstable. More ram makes the tasks which are often a battle a breeze, such as video editing, photo editing, and music production, but it also brings with it more heat. The fans spin up much faster, and battery life has dropped by about 5% since installing the new ram. Also from time to time, on extremely demanding tasks, you might experience random restarts (This only occurs on OSX, it doesn't occur on windows 8 as far as I can tell.) This can be frustrating and annoying, especially if you do not have an SSD, but in a coming update, apple should fix this random restart phenomenon.

My advice is, upgrade your hard drive before you upgrade your ram, as the hard drive to an SSD first. If you enjoyed this review, check out my Youtube Channel.

I wanted to upgrade my mid 2012 15" macbook pro from the factory 4gb of ram to 16gb ram - even though apple only offer an upgrade up to 8gb, 16gb works perfectly! (they offer 16gb on the retina and it is the same processor in both of them.) Corsair ram works great for me and having run memory tests which puts the ram under full strain it passed with flying colours. Great Product :)

Gefunden auf Amazon, nach langem Suchen für einen älteren Laptop, dessen Spezifikationen nicht leicht ersichtlich waren (1,5 Volt oder 1,8 Volt von. RAM her). Bei Corsair bisher immer gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Also Recherche im Internet WG Laptop, endlich die Daten dazu gefunden, und auf Amazon bestellt. Geliefert per Prime, eingebaut, getestet alles bestens. Dann kam COVID dazwischen.....die Übergabe an den neuen Besitzer verzögerte sich. Nun war es soweit. Der neue Besitzer freute sich wie ein Kleines Kind. Statt org.4gb ddr3 einer No Name Marke, hat er nun 16gb ddr3 RAM im Dual Channel drin, und eine SSD von Patriot Burst. Das Gerät fährt ab wie Fritz Katze. Ordentlich Leistungs Boost. Noch Ein wenig am Win.10 Home geschraubt, und fertig. Danke an Amazon und Corsair. Immer wieder gerne.

I decided on this upgrade because it was a better deal than others and matched what I needed. Upgraded from 8GB to 16GB of laptop memory, obvious improvement in performance. Easy to install but check your access to the DIMM cradles. Always buy equally-sized pairs (as these are sold) to get the most out of them. Do make sure you match your current memory specs to the ones you're buying ---- check online on how to read the memory labels.

La reconnaissance s'est faite sans problème et depuis l'acquisition je n'ai eu aucun dis-fonctionnement du PC.
La fréquence d'horloge affichée par le logiciel Speccy est de 798 Mhz soit quasiment celle prévue.

Je précise toutefois à fin d'information que lorsque j'ai voulu mixer les barrettes Corsair avec les 2 barrettes de 2x4 Go, une Samsung et une Ramaxel Technology, affichant toutes deux la même fréquence de 798 Mhz lorsqu'elles étaient montées seules, j'obtenais une fréquence d'horloge de 695 Mhz.
Les deux barrettes d'origines étaient en canal simple si montées sur deux slots identiques ( 2 blancs ou 2 noirs.... 4 logements au total pouvant recevoir jusqu'à 32 Go de mémoire vive ) et fonctionnaient en double canal si montées l'une sur un slot blanc, l'autre sur un noir.

Les deux barrettes Corsair fonctionnent bien en double canal en étant chacune montée sur deux slots de même couleur ou de couleur différente.
Quelque soit la combinaison de montage avec les 4 barrettes, j'obtenais systématiquement une fréquence de 695 Mhz.
J'ai donc préféré me contenter pour le moment de 16 Go que d'utiliser 24 Go avec peut être à la clé des problèmes dû à l'utilisation de barrettes différentes
la seule notable différence indiquée par le logiciel RAMMon de test des mémoires vives sont celles-ci :
CAS Latencies Supported = 5-6-7-8-9-10-11 pour les barettes Samsung/Ramaxel

En su momento tenia dudas ya que lo quería para un macbook pro y había leído en muchos foros que era aconsejable buscar las que fuesen específicas para Mac.
