I bought this RAM to upgrade my 15 inch early 2011 MacBook Pro (which definitely accepts 16GB of RAM).
It was easy enough to install, and it worked perfectly out of the package.

I decided to go for Corsair, simply because it's the cheapest 16GB RAM set on the market, and Corsair are a well known, trustworthy maker of long lasting and well performing RAM.
I decided to upgrade to 16GB, because I wanted to upgrade my RAM to the highest amount possible, since I was using up all of my former 4GB of RAM during normal usage.
Not only that, but in the long run, upgrading to 8GB and then waiting for the price of 16GB to reduce, and then upgrading to 16GB would probably cost the same amount overall, so it's probably better to upgrade to the max.
I'm sure the price of 16GB RAM will reduce in price over the next couple of years, if you can wait.

Once I found out my Mac Mini 2011 Server could take 16gb ram, I was on the hunt for some. Crucial were asking £120+ for 2x 8gb, and looking on Amazon there were two at a better price, this and Komputerclub, now although the Komputerclub was slightly cheaper and had some good feedback, a quick search on google found loads of complaints of cheap ram and faulty units, so I plumped for the well known and highly regarded Corsair for a sweet £75. It's officially Mac certified with Apple labs, and it just went straight in and is working a treat. So now I have a cool 16gb and it makes a great deal of difference. Well pleased. :)

First of all it's certified for use in Macs so you know it's going to work. Which it does. Being realistic, most Mac users aren't going to see much performance difference between 8GB and 16GB, but anyone intensively using imaging software like Photoshop will instantly feel the difference. From a system performance point of view I've not had a single PAGE OUT and my swap file size has remained a constant 0MB, even with all my regular apps open and manipulating 500MB+ images. This is even better news for SSD users as the system doesn't need constantly page in and out to the swap file. As most people reading this will know, SSDs have a very finite number of times data can be written to them, and reducing the number of unnecessary writes to the SSD can only be a good thing. Money well spent for power users!

Plug and play, very easy to put and until now works great. I have a late 2008 Macbook, the first in aluminum unibody and I had only 4Gb of RAM. It was pretty slow and I couldn't stand it anymore. Now, it works perfect with all the applications and the daily programs that I use. Great product and of course great Amazon experience.

After installing Mavericks things started to get a lot slower. Adding this RAM has made a huge difference and it was an easy install - just three screws.

I'm really happy that I went with that option, no problems with RAM exchange in MacBook Pro late 2011 where initially I had only 4GB. When I checked Apple store it was about 200Eur for 8GB and here for that money you have 16GB and some change for a coffee :) works perfectly, see much difference when editing & rendering videos and work with graphics/photos. Would definitely recommend product to anyone who wants to get good performance for a fair money.

works perfect in my late 2008 macbook a1278. Together with a SSD hard drive my mac feels like new. start up time and performance is close to that of a brand new mac.

Purchased this ram to add to my recently purchased i7 27" iMac's the 4GB just wasn't cutting it with 2 user accounts, numerous programs open at the same time and me using Visual Studio in a Windows 7 Parallels virtual machine.

Adding the ram was quick and easy, I was up and running with 20GB of ram within 3 minutes of opening the packaging. Can't recommend the ram highly enough
