Perfect For When You Need High Performance And Low Clearance
Vengeance Low Profile heat spreaders have a reduced height of 1.03 inches (26.25mm). They’re designed for high-performance systems with extra-large CPU coolers, small form factor system builds, or any other space-constrained application where you need high-performance memory but standard Vengeance modules might not fit.
Great for Overclocking
Each Vengeance memory module is built from DRAM ICs specially selected for performance potential, to allow you to explore the limits of system overclocking.
If you're new to overclocking, full support for Intel Extreme Memory Profile (Intel XMP) makes it easy. Add Vengeance to your XMP-compatible system and it can automatically select the maximum possible overclocking performance, quickly and easily.

For 16Gb of RAM this is a really great deal, and because it's a matched pair of modules you'll get the best and most stable performance you could expect. Just make sure you have a 64bit operating system.
These babies are quick, run cool and have plenty of OC potential. Just make sure you're motherboard is loading the XMP profile or you're memory won't run at its full potential.
Plug and play. And enjoy!
Once I'd configured my motherboard to use the RAM at 1600 MHz (defaulted to 1333 MHz for some reason) I was blown away by the performance. Multi-tasking is a breeze, gaming definitely experiences a boost, and photo editing in Photoshop performs like I've never ever had it done before. It's a little bit hard for me to differentiate where the RAM specifically helped as this was a totally new build, but in general I can definitely tell I've spent the money on it whilst using my PC.
I do however question whether I really need 16 GB worth of RAM... I've not yet maxed it out after a week of testing my PC, but then again I suppose I haven't been trying to host any gaming servers on here yet either - where lots of RAM truly shines. A few of my friends have told me it's overkill; but I personally like the safety of knowing I have headroom for the future, when my needs will increase.
I recommend this RAM to anyone building a new PC and looking for good performance, or anyone looking for a memory upgrade. If you're not sure you'll need all 16 GB of this, there is always the cheaper 8 GB configuration which might be more suited for some people.
Removing the original dimms and installing only took a few minutes. As these dimms are low profile, there was plenty of space if I needed to install close to the cpu fan. On my Asus ROG board I was able to quickly select the XMP profile and overclock to 1866mhz. Overall, set up is an absolute breeze.
If you are having trouble overclocking then you need to check settings and memory profile, as this particular ram is designed for this purpose, and I found that the process could not be simpler.
In terms of performance, I opened a dozen browser tabs and some additional programs - games, Spotify, Ableton Live etc. I ran three YouTube videos in 1080p and quickly flicked between them. My machine didn't break a sweat. When I checked System Performance I was only using 30% of my memory. In short, I now have enough speed and headroom to obscenely multitask, and the excess capacity to ensure my machine will be future-proof for several years to come.
Previously I had been running 4 gigs of ram. This is just not enough for today's kind of computing, and in my opinion an upgrade to 8 gigs is only a short term solution. Wait until we are running/editing 4k videos and playing/streaming HD games in a few years - 8 gigs will be devoured, especially if you are using an APU or iGPU. I can't pretend to know this for certain, but I do remember once installing 4 gigs - not too long ago - and considering it to be a "beastly" setup.
Technology moves fast, but 16GB of easily overclocked memory has some staying power.
I bought these for capacity rather than speed and they've been great so far, no BSODs or other weirdness.
Obviously you need to make sure to be running a 64 bit copy of Windows or linux to be able to use more than 4GB of RAM.
One thing to note when assembling your computer; your motherboard will have an optimum 'layout' of the ram slots if you are only using 2 sticks so refer to your motherboard handbook to see which slots are best - it is not always simply matching colours or first in - first out!
I would highly recommend this product to fresh builds or upgrades.
