A well written 'diary' on some of the most mundane journeys in history, it covers Hereford but the reality lies with any team from league one downwards. We all feel for our team, and the sad ones amongst us would rather a day out at leigh or Forest Green, (or Rochdale) to the overpriced hype that is the premeirship.
often humourus, tinged with sadness, but highly readable, eyeopener to those who don't know the complete saga, well worth the pennies.

A truly epic tale of a real Football fan

This book has to be my favourite football book ever. It captures the passion and the despair of a small football team fan. I am not suprised that (according to the blurb) the print of this book is nearly sold out. Anyone who has ever followed a football team which has sailed close to oblivion will find this book full of hope and will be able to identify with the author.

What a great read for any fan of Hereford United or for that matter a follower of football. As a lapsed Bulls supporter the book reminded me that you can not forget your first match at Edgar Street. The depression and fortitude of the author to sustain his undying support of a football team on the brink is to be admired. The reader experiences the tribulations and ecstasy of a loyal follower. A great book which I thoroughly recommend to any sports fan. I look forward to the sequel when HUFC are in the Premiership!!

Fantastic book for all fans

This is a superb book that will be enjoyed by any sports fan. A book that will make people look at you as you laugh out loud when you read the experiences of the author and relate them to those of yourself and friends on match day. If this doesn't get picked up by a Production Company and turned into a Saturday night comedy / drama series it will be an opportunity missed by all sports fans everywhere.
Any book about sport that makes you laugh out loud is worth recommending to others.

Compulsory reading for all football fans

It doesn't matter which team you support, if you love your football, this will appeal to you. You might thank your lucky stars that the team you adopted from birth was a 'big' team, for others you might despair, however this book will at least enlighten you to the wonder of supporting a team away from the banal and over-hyped top flight level of the game. It is so refreshing.

This book is a fantastic read, an absolute must for every Hereford United fan and indeed every fan of a lower league or non league club. It had me in tears of despair, laughter, anguish, sadness, and unbeleivable joy. A roller coaster ride and so good that when I finished reading it I turned back to page one and started again.
