Toast 6 Titanium is an amazing package. It's not just a burning application but it also provides you with photo, video and music content creating software. If you thought Apple's iApps were sufficient then this application will change your mind.
Installation is simple and from the start Toast 6 Titanium boasts many improvements and features. Firstly, the various Toast applications have been given the Jaguar look and feel, and they now seem much more integrated with the overall Macintosh interface. Secondly, the burning software has improved. "Toast IT" allows the user to burn directly from the desktop--thus saving time. Roxio has also provided "ToastAnywhere"--an application that allows other macs on the network, which do not have CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RW burners, to share CD and DVD burners. This is great for users who may be working on a laptop not equipped with a burner. The ToastAnywhere option is turned off by default so you will need to open your preference file and click on the Sharing/Start button. Also, bear in mind that Toast 6 Titanium must be installed on each Mac in order to use this option. Roxio has also provided a backup application, "Deja Vu Backup", which automatically performs scheduled backups to CD, DVD, networked servers or Web-based storage.
Toast 6 Titanium does not simply provide improved burning capabilities. Roxio has also provided audio, photo and video software within the package. The Spin Doctor application allows you to digitise vinyl records and cassette tapes to MP3 or CD and Motion Picture allows users to create a set of pictures that can be exported as a QuickTime movie with added zoom motion effects, cross fades and soundtracks. There is also a DVD authoring tool and a "Plug & Burn" feature that allows you to create VCDs, SVCDs and DVDs directly from your DV camcorder. If you don't want to edit your footage, simply plug in your camcorder and burn directly.
Overall, Toast 6 Titanium is a fantastic package that provides just about all the tools a person needs for the digital age. --Parvesh Chhibber

A nice product - now to explore the advanced features.
Also v.handy for creating those MP3 collections on CD that seem to circulate around groups of friends these days, as folders and sub-folders on a CD are self-explanatory to create.
I've started using Spin Doctor to capture my vinyl collection. It seems extremely adept at auto-detecting the gaps between tracks on LPs, so I can sample the whole side of an LP in one go and then automatically chop it up into individual tracks before importing into iTunes, writing to CD, whatever. Easy-peasy!
I've used the CD Spin Doctor to record lots of my vinyl to .aif format. I've found Spin Doctor to be a bit unstable but if it does crash it is normally picks up from where it crashed after re-launching.
I certainly haven't had the same problems as Mr T Case. I'm running a 1.8 G5 and it behaves as good as gold.
I have tried to copy data into the Content area but it does not go anywhere and the window flickerI returns. I cannot create even a straightforward back up.
It is probably a simple setting that needs to be made. I have searched in vain through the manual, which has now fallen apart.
I have now got to trawl around web sites and helpdesks to try and get it working. I thought I had left all this behind by moving from a PC to a Mac. Alas no.
