I think this book is a really accessible read. I particularly liked that not only does it have lots of expert information about these sorts of heeadaches, but that it helpfully has lots of suggested actions to take to avoid getting the headaches as well as what to do if you have one. Great too, if you want a non-migraine sufferer to have some understanding of what's going on.

A really informative book and well worth a read. Most of it is fairly obvious and there are a few annoying 'case studies' in it which I don't think add anything to the book, but it states pretty plainly all the ways in which to work through your headache symptoms and find the best way to cope with them. Don't expect it to cure you of your headaches but it will help you understand a bit more about them and I've found myself going back to it time-and time again to reference things I've had ideas about later. It was a great help to me just to read about what I was suffering even if it didn't cure them. This lady knows more than your average GP.

Having been a migraine sufferer for nearly 50 years. .i thought i knew all there was to know about migraine.. until i read this book!!!! It really is a very interesting book and I recommend it very highly. Non sufferers should also read it as they may find they have a little more "understanding" of what us sufferers go through!!!!!

Not much more information that one cannot find online. I guess the most disappointing aspect of this book is that it does not really deal much with a huge issue in dealing with migraines which is the rebound effect of taking various medications. Eg it talks about triptans but not about how taking them for too long actually can make your headache worse, the need to wean yourself off the medication etc.

I bought this book as i suffer from horrendous migraines and wanted to know more about them, my GP seems to have a limited knowledge, but does try. I found it very informative, and particularly liked the medication sections, which included prescription and herbal etc. Lots of invaluable information for anyone suffering from headaches or migraines and definately recommended.
