1) the expansion slot cover cannot be put back once you've removed them. 2) there are no filters in at bottom for the power supply fan and at the sides for case fans. 3) the front panel is in awkward position and doesn't allow for good air flow. however despite these issues the case does have some redeeming factors and wasn't very expensive so its unfair to compare to it cases made by corsair or fractal which have superior build quality.
The good points first. A good case, rugged and strong with not too many sharp edges to catch you out. Lots of space and clearances, giving potentially good airflow and cable routing and making it easy to install into even for a bulky cpu cooler.
Not so good points. The case comes with brass spacers for the motherboard that you first screw into the case panel. However the screws supplied for fixing the motherboard to the spacers can be a tight machine fit for the spacers and while trying to tighten them with the motherboard in place, you risk overtightening the spacer instead and stripping the case thread, so leaving both the spacer and motherboard screw a loose fit. I also thought the case could have been suppled with one more case fan (only one is supplied) to avoid having to obtain at least one other separately to provide a good chosen airflow path. The very bright blue power LED also makes it quite difficult to detect the close and similar harddrive activity LED in operation.
Overall I felt that I had very good value for the money and apart from needing slightly better quality control on the supplied screws, it would get my strong recommendation as an economy case.
It does feel a bit flimsy when pugging anything into the front of it as you can see the panel bow as you push the USBs in.
If you're wanting something a bit more solid then I would say pay the extra £10-£20 and go for a better case, if you're wanting a budget build then this would be perfect for you,
The case has plenty of space to work. There weren't too many sharp bits to catch yourself on. Most of the drives were installed without the need of screws, which is handy. As is the trend these days, the power supply sits at the bottom rather than the top - I think this is supposed to aid airflow or something.
The completed machine looks smart but understated.
The case is easy enough to build a PC with, both sides come off and the front too allowing for easy access for adding in drives and the motherboard. The front cables for the audio/activity lights/power buttom/usb ports are long enough to be plugged into the motherboard and there's enough space between the drive bays and (most) motherboards for cables to not be forced to bend sharply.
Besides from working perfectly as a case, it doesn't have the normal flashing lights/stupidity of most of the cases of Amazon. Aside from the front power and HDD activity lights there's no additional lights and there's only one built in case fan on the back (although the side and front would allow for up to 3 additional fans). If you want to build a PC without looking like you're compensating for something, go for this case.
