HASH(0x95d1100c) out of 5 stars for reluctant readers 3 Feb. 2013
By Tim Donnelly - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I met Gordon Korman last fall. He explained how he researched the book and some stories behind the writing of this series. After hearing him talk about the series, I had to get it for our nephew for Christmas. It is a great series with a huge cliffhanger at the end of each book in the trilogy, very well written especially for reluctant readers.

By Douglas E. Melton - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
It was so amazing to be able to read a book on a place you don't hear very much about. When dominic first start out with the team he is supposedly the best one on the team the first team of four were selected because of the readly adaptation to elevation or acclimization to the rough terrain and the oxygen levels. But as two of the first four were takin home due to accidents during a final stage to test they're readiness, dominic and tilt come in to the picture. In one way or the other the two end up making friends.

HASH(0x95e8c7c8) out of 5 stars The Beginning of the Journey and Already Things Look Not Too Promising... 8 Sept. 2014
By BasketballDog - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Dominic wins a contest similar to "Willy Wonka", where five kids get a "wild card" into a Mt. Everest summit training camp. Along with Ethan, Tilt, Sammi, Chris, Perry, and Bryn, Dominic works his hardest to be one of the final four kids chosen to attempt to climb to the top of Mount Everest. Ethan, 16, has already summited Everest and is the world record holder. Tilt, 14, wants to beat Ethan's record, and is really mean to anyone younger than him. He has told all the younger kids they cannot summit Everest because he wants to be the youngest climber ever to summit Everest. Ethan, Chris, Bryn and Perry end up being the final group of four chosen to try to climb to the summit. After Ethan drops out, Dominic is brought in as an alternate. On a practice mountain, Bryn sleepwalks and falls off a cliff. She breaks several bones and can't go on the trip. Now than Bryn has dropped out, Tilt is going to come.

This is probably a fourth grade level book - I read it in one day. If you liked this book, I would recommend "No Summit Out of Sight" by Jordan Romero, the youngest person to summit all seven (plus one) of the world's tallest mountains.
