'I just want to be Stewart Lee . . . Perhaps the most intelligent comedian ever to tread British boards.' (Will Self)
'The hostile below-the-line comments from Lee's online readership are almost as funny as the columns and essays they're vilifying, and so go some way to explaining this brave and doomed comedian's innovative technique of spraying his own audience with caustic bile.' (Alan Moore New York Times)
'Stewart Lee is not funny and has nothing to say.' (Daily Telegraph)

Rather, Stewart Lee's latest book is little more than a collection his previous cannon of paid for prose from the liberal left wing media. At times merely entertaining, it is nether the less a Now Thats What I Call Stewart Lee in book form. On the plus side, I picked up my copy for only £2.75 so I doubt there'll be much in the way of loyalties lining the long pockets of Mr Lees trademark hipster black Lee jeans. It's also an ideal Christmas stocking filler, and one I'll delight in sharing with many close friends and family if only to record their attempts at the perfect "Oh this is JUST what I wanted. I used to like Stewart Lee when he was popular!" reactions on my new Iphone X, which I'll then share with my 7 Snapchat followers. 5 stars.
