I love it because I'm a Xbox fan and love playing games a lot !
The Connect has been used a few times but be warned your goanna need a lot of energy to play these games that go with it. it's both physical and demanding, Unfortunately my health permits my from demanding physical games. But it just what's needed to tire the kids before bed time as they seem to sleep right through the night and for all the family just to have some fun. So this with the XBOX is a Big big bonus.
The XBOS Slim however is totally great I've had no problems with it and I'm happy with the sale.
For those guy's that was wandering if it comes with a game pad like myself the answer is (yes it does). But please pick up a battery pack and charger because the XBOX ( EATS BATTERIES FOR BREAKFAST )
Hope this review helps make your mind up on a sale.

I have for couple of years not, this product has been out for a year but I still have this old 360.
It works quite well from the dashboard, but it doesn't yet have the full integration that it needs. For example, you have to go "into" Kinect from the Dashboard, and then from there it all works fine with the hand gestures, but once back on the dashboard you need the controller again. But i think that with a couple of software updates that should all come together.
The voice controls are really good and worked fine for all six of us.

Not a big review as many of you already have games consoles ie Xboxes, but it's all new to me!
Review is on the Kinect only -
Let's start staright away with the only negative. If you buy the XBox 360 - 250GB and Kinect bundle the connection from the Xbox to the Kinect is NOT backward compatiable. ie It works fantastically well with the kit you've bought BUT if you take your Kinect to a mate's house and try to plug into his Xbox, it's highly likely that his 'box only accepts a USB connection, the connector on the Kinect (for this latest one), is not USB so will not fit.
If you are buying a Kinect for an "older" xBox make sure you check out the connection thoroughly. Probably a USB will suffice but as more of the these later Kinect's are recycled you may buy one with the wrong connection.
Also games at the moment are monumentally expensive and limited.
Positives
WOW - Kids and big kids love it! Using your body as the controller is unbelievable energetic and requires a good deal of puff to keep going. It's gone down a storm in our house. Adventures which comes with the bundle is slightly repetative but only thro' adult eyes, kids don't see it and will play over and over again. The graphics are amazing - I'm not a Wii graphic fan, looks very cartoony - but on the Kinect, another leap in graphic technology.
Overal delighted with the Kinect, any console that gets them off the sofa and leaping around must combine the best of two worlds (assuming you "approve" of gaming devices)
Why only 4 stars overall - backward compatibility and current price & limitation of games - but the device itself definately a big hit.

Whilst the 360 is now yesterday's technology, it remains a superlative gaming device and the Kinect even more so - providing voice control and gesture control to your gaming experience, and more. Whilst I don't want to get into a Playstation vs. Wii vs. Xbox debate in this review, I have personally found this generation of the Xbox 360 to be exceptional. I'd definitely recommend getting the model with the internal hard disk (games can run slowly when they run from the DVD, so worth copying the game files to the hard disk first) and get the Kinect. The Xbox does more than just gaming and being able to navigate through the menus and applications (such as 4oD, Netflix, and others) with your voice makes you feel like you're living in the future.
Absolutely full marks.

My son worked all summer with me to save for this xbox 360.
He has been really happy with it. He was debating between the xbox and the playstation 3.
He eventually decided on the xbox 360 with kinnect.
He uses it to play various games, he also uses it to interact with other players in France and the UK.
You can now use it to go on Facebook and the internet.
The only thing I am not to keen on is that you have the facility to buy Microsoft points, which allows you to get extras for games you have already purchased, as you can imagine, my son wants points to buy additional items. So this can become costly if you are not careful.
All in all I think it is a good product. Just be aware of the extras.

My kids love this. I also bought the sports game as well as getting the adventures with the console. We were ok with space as our living room is quite big but I could see perhaps other people having to move their sofa out of the way for the 2 player games if their space is small.
When we first got it the family played non-stop for hours - it brings us all together for a single activiy (rare these days). There are no signs of them getting bored with it yet.
I have dropped 1 star off for overall rating - this is only because there are not a huge number of game titles to choose from for the kinect. I am hoping more titles will be released in the future. Having said that, sports and adventures seem to be enough at the moment.
I have waited a little while for the price to come down and got it at a good price I think. I recommend it. It has not disappointed us and the winner is really the human movement element. If you are looking for a good family or group activity, then kinect will bring you all together!

I Bought this a couple of years ago now and now the XBOX1 has been out for a year but I still have this old 360. I bought it purely for the built in WI-FI and other extra updates over the old 360. It's still noisy compared to the PS3 but I only bought it for GOW and Fable so it does the job for me.
Oh and the Kinect?, fun for 5 minutes but you realise playing video games doesn't feel right if you tire yourself out playing them! and to be honest there aren't any good kinect games out.
