Two planets separated by distance both have problems. On Kelderan too many people and little space to spread out while on Jasvar too many women and not enough men. Using trickery to fool anyone investigating their distress signals to add new races to the gene pool.

During one such scenario, Kason encounters Taryn as his group land searching for missing scientists. After many difficulties, agreement is reached, diplomatic agreement for Kelderan colonists. As Taryn and an aide board Kasons ship to head home. Add an old enemy, misunderstandings and a male superiority complex, a lesson in female tenacity ensures that all ends well eventually.

A book I couldn't put down until I finished it.

Well written, good characters that were likeable and a good plotline with plenty of room for expansion later in the series. A nice uncomplicated HEA story that is in no way traditional.

Oh My Goodness Ms. Jessie writes SciFi Romance now and they are so good, creating a vivid and detailed planet from her imagination. Whose characters are made just for each other. Believe me when you read it you'll see what I mean. Yes, this is definitely a MUST READ.
Taryn Demara is from the planet Jasvar.
Which basically is a doomed planet being that all the women who conceive only have females, one out of every five womens birth a male embryos. They call it
“Jasvar Doom Virus". This virus through the decades has depleted 90% of the male population. Only sex starved females were left and some became warriors. As years go by the women have died leaving few left. Will their SOS be answered before they all die out.
Prince Kason tro el Vallen of the royal line of Vallen from the planet Keldera. He has researched this planet for a while now, the blue, pink, and purple hues of the planet hid secrets Kason was going to discover. No one has ever conquered it and he wants to cause Keldera is over populated which was now depleting there planet, the need for another planet was beginning to get critical. Ten years ago they had sent scientists to Jasvar, they never returned just disappeared. Landing on Jasvar,  Kason and his men heard women and children screaming, fire was everwhere. Then a sting on his neck, everything went black.
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!

This is the first in a new series by Jessie Donovan. This is for adults only due to the steamy content, and there are no dragon shifters or shifters of any kind in this book.

As always Jessie has some awesome characters that definitely didn’t take me long to really like. I especially like Taryn’s determination and her never give up attitude. At first I wasn’t sure I was going to like Kason, he was arrogant and definitely sexist. He has grown on me because while he comes from a planet that underutilizes women, he values them above all. I love how he tries to keep an open mind and how Taryn keeps trying to push the limits further and further. They are a great pair, and I can’t wait to see what awaits the rest of them especially the Princess and Vala.

Jessie Donovan is fabulous at developing characters you want to know more about and that you become invested in. She knows how to balance drama and action to keep you engaged in the book. She is definitely one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!

I recommend this book to anyone who loves Jessie’s writing style and to those Sci-fi lovers who likes aliens and space travel adventures.

Format: Paperback
This is the story of Taryn, the ruler of Jasvar and Kason, the prince of Kelderan. Taryn's planet was the site for a low tech colony of humans but the are slowly dying out due to a virus they call the doom virus that attacks male embryos. Taryn has a plan to send out an sos to attract alien ships to her planet and then force the males to stay. The last ship was 8 years ago and they are getting desperate. They lure in an alien ship from Kaldera and take the men of the landing party prisoners. Through underhanded means she finds out that the Kalderans planned to take over the planet to give their citizens a place to live as Kaldera is greatly over populated. What ensues is a scheme to take over the Kaldera ship or to at least claim the prince by becoming his bride which forces him to protect her until she can strike a deal with the Kalderan king. This turns out to be more involved than Taryn is expecting because while the Kalderan planet is high tech and more advanced in that manner they are way behind in the way they think and treat their women. Well, the story takes off from there and naturally attraction arises and steamy sex occurs. The twists thrown in just make the story more interesting and makes me think of 'Star Wars meets romance'. The story is well written and the characters developed. I am looking forward to the next story.
