3.5 – 4 stars. spoilers for those who haven’t read book one!!!

After the turn of events at the end of book one, Besieged, I was really excited about reading this one and finding out where Lilly and Theo’s relationship went in the aftermath. It turns out that, after finding out that Theo may have got someone pregnant after a one night stand (which happened whilst they were on a ‘break’ from each other and which he doesn’t remember), Lilly escapes to her brother’s house. Theo of course tries to find her and rescue the love they had, but she is understandably not interested.
So what do they do? Drink of course! And I mean they drink a lot. Theo’s friend eventually kicks him up the arse and tells him to fight for her, and finally finally I thought I was going to see some of the alpha-male from book one……

”Love is a war, so suit up sugar, because I’m coming for you…”

At this point I was like…..”Yes!
Sadly, this didn’t last long. After some (many) intense arguments and angry words, he gives up, thinking it’s a lost cause……

Lilly, bless her. She loves him. Admits to herself that she isn’t angry about him getting some stripper pregnant. But what she cant deal with is the fact that she herself cant give him certain things.
So the two really are so stubborn and as the book progresses they end up spending time together, sometimes by choice and sometimes by circumstance. Neither willing to admit their feelings and simply talk things through.

”I want to slap that face almost as much as I want to sit on it…..”

So im settling on a 3.5 ish stars since I kinda got frustrated at both characters, especially Theo. The story lulled abit in the middle, but picked up towards the end as Lilly’s past resurfaces with a vengeance dragging her brother Harry into it too. She has no choice but to turn to Theo for help and the book ends just as she is about to reveal her traumatic childhood to him….at last! So there’s hope yet!

I devoured this book. Starting with the aftermath and fall out from Besieged, Theo is not coping well at all. As is to be expected his best friend Hugo is there to 'help' him get over Lilly. I love Hugo, he's got to be the biggest man whore ever but just so loveable. Theo is determined to win Lilly over and sets about showing her how he really feels. Lilly, i thought, was a lot more likeable/ easier to relate to in this book. I've definitely got a soft spot for her. Just as Theo and Lilly start to work their problems out, the past rears it's head, once again throwing a spanner in the works. The ending was yet again brilliant. Can't wait for the final part of this series.

Ok....I loved besieged but conquered was released already when I'd finished besieged I didn't read it straight away cuz I thought if it's another cliffhanger I just won't cope...when I realized yesterday that LP Lovell had released surrendered I thought....YES....more Theo!!! This book killed me, so much bloody angst it totally ripped me apart...I was starting to really dislike Lilly the way she was treating Theo she literally chewed him up and spat him out!!! She was so self destructive which I can see with how broken she was but the last 2 chapters started to repair my broken heart....
LP Lovell is a british author and oh so good this really is a must read series I'm now going to jump head first into surrendered....see you on the other side.... 😥

Loved the first book Beseiged and couldn't wait for the second and it did not disappoint! I just love the dynamics between Theo and Lilly, Theo is determined to get what he wants and Lilly is determined to deny him. It goes back and forth prettymuch throughout the book which gives you the will they won't they work it out excitment which i love in books and also the bedroom scenes are extremely well written... phew!!!!! What i also like in these books are the supporting cast, the best friends/family are amazing and funny and i can't wait to hear more of them in future books (especially Hugo who is a manwhore with an amazing sense of humour!).

I won't give anything away about the plot just know that you need to read these books!

Highly recommend these books i so can't wait till book 3!!!!

Absolutely loved all three of the books. Fantastic characters very well written. Loved having an alpha male and alpha female lead who were not perfect and made mistakes. Nice not to have the standard perfect people with perfect lives. Being a Brit, also nice to read British banter and spelling.

Loved each of the characters but OMG Hugo .. that man is something else. I am looking forward to his story as I just want to see how is made to be the male lead with one woman and a HEA. How do you come back from that!

The mess from the end of book one continues at the star of this book and the angst and attitude is something that is to be commended.
Nothing hooks a reader that the “What If’s” and in this book there are more than enough what if’s hanging around to keep you tied to the pages from start to finish.
Theo and Lilly are a mess but can they survive, well they survive, can they see that they belong together... Well, Theo can and with his determination in full flow – Lilly is going to have her work cut out to get her own way.
Because when he takes stock and understands (with a nudge from Hugo and his many pearls of wisdom) that he needs to stand stall and be the man that Lilly would want him to be not let go easily, he resolves himself to the fact that he really loves her and is not willing to live without her, Theo wages war … objective Lilly.
I took more to Theo in this book than the first because I felt we had a better look at what made the man, a gentle peek under the skin of this alpha and a chance to see the softer side.
The book, is fast and furious, much like the sex – because I have to say it did not hold back – OMG!! But the twists that develop through the book will have you begging for more.
I was left breathless with the intensity and speed with which the story unfolded, but was super delighted at the emergence of the fantastic Hugo as my favourite character!
He is just downright superb!!!
Lilly’s back story is slowly being opened up to us and in this we get to understand her a little more.
And much as with the first book we are left with an absolute doozy of a cliff hanger at the end.
I can’t wait to have the next instalment and to finally see if Theo and Lilly can find the middle ground that can allow them to not only allow them to be happy but to be happy together.
