I was pretty ignorant about LED lighting when I bought this and didn't know the difference between waterproof and non-waterproof strip. I managed to buy waterproof by mistake. This connector is for non-waterproof strip (the normal stuff) but works on the waterproof variety fine - you just have carefully to remove a little of the plastic coating from the end of the strip to reveal the electrical contacts.

Be aware that there is a connector on only one end of this adapter - the other end is bare wire (pre-tinned with solder) for connecting to whatever you want. If your LED strips are some distance apart (like on different shelves) then this is what you want so you can connect some joining wire.

Great connectors, but after a time they seem to come loose and you have to wiggle them to get them to connect, or cut of the end to a better one and push in again. If you are good at soldering then I would suggest to solder them on if possible. Other than that a great little connector.

You need to ensure the copper pads are clean and bright to avoid intermittent operation. The + / - connections didn't match the LED strip I had, still worked but red and black wires are reversed.
